Originally posted by wayne1218That is alot to give up but you have to do it to get a guy like KG. Garnett probably told KG about the history of "Big Men" in Boston. Gomes and a no. 1 pick are even more than i thought but keeping Rondo in the end is the key.
HOLY FUCK, PLEASE BE TRUE!
in a way its a lot to give up, but at the same time, i think people around here value the 'young guys' more than the rest of the league. in reality, what is gerald green or ryan gomes going to be- probably servicable players on the right team. KG is KG, and i like the pierce, allen, kg combo alot.
i also agree about keeping rondo, very good move. imagine how much more effective his speed and quickness will be with these guys around.
good deal all the way, hopefully it gets done.

They still have a bunch of young guys who excite me in Rondo, Tony Allen, Perkins, Big Baby & Pruitt!Originally posted by molta02in a way its a lot to give up, but at the same time, i think people around here value the 'young guys' more than the rest of the league. in reality, what is gerald green or ryan gomes going to be- probably servicable players on the right team. I think he will be a big body just to come in and relieve others for a few minutes. Bang on them, wear 'em down, and grab a few rebounds.Originally posted by kbsooner21What do you like about Big Baby so much? I'm not that impressed with the guy.

A new report from Shira Springer of the Boston Globe says that Al Jefferson is not currently included in a potential trade for Kevin Garnett and that the deal is not imminent.
According to Springer, the current trade stands with the Celtics sending Gerald Green, Ryan Gomes, Sebastian Telfair, Theo Ratliff and two first-round picks to the Timberwolves for Garnett. Al Jefferson is not included in the deal at the moment, which raises many questions, including how the teams would deal with Garnett's trade clause that calls for a 15 percent salary increase. Depending on which source you read, this trade is not a sure thing and there are still more questions than answers. In any case, it appears that Garnett is close to being traded to the Celtics.

Al Jefferson is back in the trade talks between the Celtics and Timberwolves.
According to the Boston Globe, the trade currently stands as the Celtics sending Jefferson, Gerald Green, Ryan Gomes, Sebastian Telfair, Theo Ratliff, and two first-round picks to the Timberwolves for Kevin Garnett. It is uncertain how the teams would deal with Garnett's trade clause that calls for a 15 percent salary increase and there is no timetable on when the deal would be finalized. The Celtics appear to be ready to mortgage the future in order to put Garnett on the floor with Paul Pierce and Ray Allen. Meanwhile, the addition of a second first-round pick would give the Wolves a very bright future when combined with Jefferson, Gomes and Green.

I have a feeling that the T'Wolves either get Jefferson and 1 first rounder, or not Jefferson and 2 first rounders, but yea I'd still do it too, those first rounders will be late first rounders with KGOriginally posted by wayne1218Wow it is even steeper now with 2 1st rounders!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'D STILL DO IT!

Garnett and Pierce together would be huge...I like Jefferson, and Perk has his moments but I am far from sold on Allen.
BUT YOU STILL HAVE DOC RIVERS COACHING!
