I've never played a +1.5 line in my life. 1st off, i won't lay that juice to get +1.5, i'll just go for the even money and my team winning. I will do the same with a big dog. Instead of taking them +1.5, i'll just go for the big payout and the SU win. I've never ever looked at a +1.5 to wager on. It just doesn't interest me as i would rather just take teams to win or lose. A shitload of MLB games are decided by 1,2 or 3 runs and it's hard enough just getting the winner, let alone picking the margin. If i take a team +1.5 is it because i think they will lose by one run? I would have to be a genius to figure that out. If i take them +1.5 thinking they can win ... they i'll take them SU to win and take the extra money. Again, this is NOT downing anybody, it's just my opinion and what "I" like.
I totally agree with you here. I often scratched my head when I look at other's people bet. But, like i aid, I am pretty new to this thing.

You kow, I read somewhere before, that if you just bet the dogs in MLB, you will come out ahead more often then you loss.

I bet more favorites than dogs. What i do though with parlays is make it so that most of my payouts are on the + side like a dog. Dogs are tough. If they were based on the team, it would be easy but it isn't. One man, the pitcher, holds the key in most games. The favorite generally has the better pitcher so it's not always easy to go against them. Even the shitty teams have some good arms like Kazmir and Snell.

Wayne, i had the same big favorite parlay debate the other day with a friend. Even though I have never asked, I picked it up from following your plays. It's nice to know that despite my last 5 days, I'm not a complete fckn idiot! Thanks for your hard work everyday. I have certainly been a beneficiary of it!

Wayne what is your perspective about what Cover Boy is doing regarding his +1.5 RL's that typically have juice between -150 and -225?

SOBER SINCE MARCH 28TH OF 2007!!!

Now that way of betting I will never understand ....

Honestly, i have not seen the threads and i would rather you ask him than have me give a perspective on it. You pretty much know how i feel about RL wagers, period.

It has been a tough week buddy but that's where discipline comes in to play. I never raise or lower my wagers based on runs and i'm still up on the year.

Your point has been proven tonight Wayne! By me laying -165 on Pitts (2 units x2) I am going to lose 330 was up 297 from the afternoon games so gave it right back to be down a small amount of 33 for the day. If I would have parlayed it with the Red Sox (regardless of whether they win or lose) I would have only lost 200 cause I wouldnt have layed so much juice and therefor would have made 97...Am I correct?

You are correct sir. I'm in the same boat tonight with both of my parlays. I could lose all 4 big favorites and it will still be 2 wagers lost with ZERO juice. That is easier to make up than losing a shitload more on all straight wagers.
