Great player no matter what. We could never compare how hard it was to hit in Ruth's day. So many things have changed in favor of the hitter. Steriods arent the main issue in my mind. Its the watered down game with expansion,the mound cut down, the more corked ball, and all the armour these guys wear at the plate.
