I was WAY more impressed with the Michigan team that won it all back in '88-'89 under interim head coach Steve Fisher. Nobody picked Rice and the boys to win and they took out Seton Hall to capture the ball. That team ... Was special and they showed it on the court when it counted!

2- The Illini got screwed in that game with the fantom foul call with 3 seconds left in a tie game. Let the boys decide the game ...A FINAL 4 GAME!!

Pimp, i had Michigan in '89 in a luck of the draw March Madness pool. I drew them and thought i had no chance. I'll honestly never forget that team or run they had because of it!

Michigan was a 3 seed in that tourney and they defeated UNC in the sweet 16....you should hate them for that reason alone

To make it clear, the people that piss me off are (sometimes my friends) who are Auburn football fans and Duke/UNC/Kentucky basketball fans.

That was Michigans year.....they caught break after break.....from tougher teams gettin knocked off early so Michigan avoided them in future rounds and they benefited from calls

Michigan wouldve been a dog to Duke had Seton Hall not gotten by Danny Ferry and I remember Michigan crushing an inferior Virginia team in the elite 8 by 30+

Michigan in 88 with Gary Grant had lost to UNC in the sweet 16 and met them again as dogs in 89 and barely got by them......to say the least Michigan caught many breaks during that run

Like i said, if they would have WON as freshmen THEN YES, it would have been amazing. The fact is, they never did and the one highlight you see every year at this time isbn't the Fab 5 doing anything but calling a bonehead timeout. We see that 50 times a year. That will be remembered forever. Ray Rice, Jimmy King, who the fuck even remembers their names or knows where they are outside of Michigan. Webber and Howard ... were memorable. After that it was WOW ... Freshman ... but they won nothing.

I like the Cowboys, Yankees, Carolina Hoops, Canes Foots and the whoever is hot in the NBA and did I mention I love UConn womens hoops

Nobody up here is really a BC fan. Although the University of Maine is 3 hours North, Boston is only 1:15 South. We have contracts with the Celts, Red Sox, Pats and Bruins for t.v. contracts and such and when they win Titles they bring the Trophy through the state and hold a parade here. The Boston pro teams have about 20%-25% of their season ticket holders from Maine & N.H. We had the Bruins farm club and we have the Red Sox AA team here. The Pro athletes come here often for stuff too. There is no BC connection though. Nobody i know goes to their games and we don't even get them on t.v. here.
