Wayne, not sure how you feel about Lunardi, but he just updated "Bracketology," and he has AF, Drexel, and ODU all in.

I did take that into account but the 7 i mentioned that were played by A.F. could have been scheduled 10 years ago and you still knew they were not going to be good. The same goes for the 4 by Drexel but it is still 3 less cakes for the Dragons and that was by choice when A.F. scheduled them.
Agreed man...like I said, I think a lot depends on what happens this weekend.

I think if AF gets in as an 11 or 12, they'd have a good shot of winning because the MWC caught up with their style so they'd be playing a team not familiar with it.
They can't win anything on the road lately (1-7) last 8. What makes them think that's going to help them when they are away from home?

Assuming there are no tourney upsets.

Despite yesterday's effort, I think neutral court is a lot different than a true road game. The only way I can explain the way they played in the beginning/middle of the season to the end is that the non-conf opponents could'nt figure out a way to stop AF...they were scoring high numbers and lately in conf, they weren't so I think they could win a tourney game.

I def agree...that's why I'm pulling for Iowa and TT huge today and for Xavier to win the A-10.

Jimmy, A.F. has not played a non conference game in this calendar year!!!

How many other teams can say that and how are the people that make the decisions supposed to see anything but the horrible basketball they have played of late?

I agree if they don't make it, it's solely because of finishing the season 6-7 and 0-4 last 4, but I just don't agree with it...what's the point of playing any non-conf games then? The committee should probably weigh the end of the season a little more than the beginning, but they can't just disregard the entire non-conference portion.

Non conference games do matter but when you have to go back to NOVEMBER to find any that are meaningful, that IS a problem (imo). You need to schedule those throughout the season so they can see you beat them early and late as Drexel did @ Creighton just 2 or 3 weeks ago. How great does that win look now with Creighton storming through their conference tourney? Pretty good i think. Air Force doesn't have any of that.
