They did take care of business at home and on the road in non-conf games...they just struggled on the road out-of-conference as a lot of teams do.
Do you think ODU and Drexel deserve it over AF?
Only 2 from that Conference deserve to be in. The regular season champ (UNLV) and BYU, a team that beat A.F. twice.
I think the CAA and their top 4 teams can play all day long with the top 4 of the MWC and yes, i believe Drexel deserves to be in too. They have a better resime (imo) winning @ Syracuse, @ Villanova and @ Creighton.
Because they are a bunch of greedy bastards who left the WAC high and dry. And who they included was just as bad. They took UNLV, who had barely joined the WAC so the Presidents of the schools could enjoy themselves in Vegas during the conferences. There were some really good rivalries that were broken up because of the move. And honestly, the teams in the Mountain West have never been the same.
BYU, Utah, Colo St, were much better in football and basketball when they were in the WAC. Collectively it was a really good league. Both are watered down now.
I hope they become as bad as the Big West......Greedy pigs!

Drexel has a worse RPI and SOS, and according to you, those earlier non-conference wins don't mean much
I think whether they get in has a lot to do with what happens the next 3 days...we'll see I guess...I think they deserve to be in, but I can see them getting left out especially considering they got lucky to get in last year.

Actually the win @ Creighton was in Mid February and the other 2 were both a month later in the season than either of the big 2 by A.F.
RPI? SOS??? ... I could care less about those. They are as useless as the BCS. You asked for my opinion, you can get those numbers w/out me. Drexel had much better wins than A.F. and that's right there on paper!

You said AF's schedule was a joke though so how can you now say SOS doesn't matter?
2nd rate out of conference teams scheduled .......
A.F. : Arkansas-Pine Bluff , Radford, IPFW, Texas Pan Am, Colorado College, Norfolk St and Northern Colorado
Drexel : Florida gulf coast, Rider, Fairleigh Dickinson and Georgia St
A.F. also scheduled many more "Cupcakes"
Notice where all those games were played...at home...like I said, they can't get anyone to come to AF. I'd also like to know who the many more "Cupcakes" are?

Then go on the road Jimmy. Drexel did, why couldn't A.F. go on the road a couple more times instead of scheduling 7 cupcakes? The extra cakes are listed (7-4).

They could've scheduled maybe one more tough road game, but I think their schedule was good overall. You have to remember that schedules are made prior to the year so you don't really know when a team is going to be bad...ie Wake Forest (which is usually a good team).
I think if AF gets in as an 11 or 12, they'd have a good shot of winning because the MWC caught up with their style so they'd be playing a team not familiar with it.

That's why i left teams out like W.F. for A.F. and St Joe's for Drexel. I did take that into account but the 7 i mentioned that were played by A.F. could have been scheduled 10 years ago and you still knew they were not going to be good. The same goes for the 4 by Drexel but it is still 3 less cakes for the Dragons and that was by choice when A.F. scheduled them.
