LV Jimmy you should know the MWC is going to get screwed as they do every year.
And what teams they do get in will all have low seeds. Its bull shit. they say improve your RPI which the confrence does and they still get screwed every yearTHINK BLUE

Originally posted by LVJimmyI agree about them being horrible lately, but the fact that TT and Stanford were a long time ago shouldn't matter...if that's the case, what's the point of playing any tough non-conference games because they're usually all in the beginning of the season...like I said, if you compare AF's resume to the "last 4 in" according to Lunardi, I'm sorry, but it beats all 4 of those teams.

Originally posted by wayne1218Jimmy, A.F. only finished 3rd in the MWC. I think that UNLV and BYU are both locks at this point. I would even take S.D. St before them as a 3rd team. They finish the year horribly and i don't think they impress anybody at this point by beating a Stanford team that probably isn't even in the tourney and a T.T. team that was/has been on the bubble.
Actully AF finished 4th cause they lost the tie breaker to SD ST.THINK BLUE

Who says the Mountain West should have 3 teams? They've been a horrible conference since they left the WAC. I hope they only get one team in! Air Force loses to Wyoming and San Diego St loses to Colo St? That's pathetic....

Originally posted by wayne1218Well there you go. I just looked at their schedule this year and (IMO) it's a joke and no where near tourney worthy at this point after finishing with 4 straight losses. Welcome to the NIT!
ZERO
They can't play all their games on the road.
And how can you say SDSU deserves it over AF? Who did they beat out of conference and they split with AF during the regular season. AF/SDSU both finished 3rd...the tiebreaker only mattered for conf tourney seeding.
Again, how can you tell me Purdue, Illinois, Drexel, and ODU deserve it over AF? Please don't say "they play in the Big Ten" cuz that's a weak argument. Yes, ODU and Drexel had some good wins too, but they have lower RPIs and a worse SOS. AF, Drexel, and ODU all finished with pretty much the same record, but the latter 2 teams play in the CAA...sorry, ass much as you guys are ripping the MWC, it's better than the CAA.Last edited by LVJimmy; 03-09-2007, 02:16 PM.

Realistically, at least two get in. Maybe even three. But I'm sure not happy about it. I despise the Mountain West.

Originally posted by wayne1218PLEASE ... Lots of teams LIKE DREXEL can say that. You know what, too bad. Take care of business for at least 1 round in your tourney and don't finish the season losing 4 straight. Read further and you will see where i said ONLY TWO teams deserve to go from the MWC.
Do you think ODU and Drexel deserve it over AF?

They win at home because for teams playing there, it's like playing on top of Mount Everest. No air!
