Herbstreet was just talkin on ESPN....His words...the SEC is the best over all conference in the nation...and that Fla has way more overall team speed than any team OSU has seen...and I mean i think there is some reason he is on national TV getting paid as a college football analyst...I think that OSU for sure wins this game...but i just needed to back ol jason a little in this convo

          • I'm assuming this thread is a joke ... Florida could win - I'd be very, very surprised - but it won't be because of its defense. For one thing, the defense is riddled by injuries and suspensions. That secondary is horrendous, and the Heisman winner isn't going to take advantage? I'll believe it when I see it.

Chris Nickson threw for 300 yards against Florida (Earl Bennett had 13 catches for 157 yards).
Blake Mitchell was 24-33 for 275 yards.
LSU's Doucet, Bowe, and Davis were open all day. Russell played awful, but those three still had 203 yards receiving.
Even sorry ass Brandon Cox was 18-27 for 182 yards.

A lot of people probably don't even know some of those names. I don't think Smith, Gonzalez, Ginn, and company will have any problem against this defense. Florida better bring 30 points to Arizona if they want to beat Ohio State.

            • Ohio State won't lose. They have had a look of a champion all season. They know what it takes to win.

              • Just like heavy favored Auburn was going to kick Wisconsins
ass in the Holiday Bowl last year. Anybody can beat anybody.
Turnovers, over-confidence, injuries and stupid suspensions
can change any game. Just enjoy the game and be happy
Florida made it to that game.

                • Did Ohio State fans forget when they won the National title it was against a Miami team EVERYONE said would crush them....as 14 point dogs.

                  Florida definitely has a SHOT.

                  • It's bad enough some sport fans are obsessed with rooting for their team. Now we have fans rooting for their conference. This is ridiculous.

I disagree here Frank...If my team is from the same conference as a team playing in the BCS or any championship for that matter, I think it's natural or even expected to root for my conferences representative. Isnt it beter to be beaten by a champion than beaten by any run of the mill team?

If my Yankees aren't in it I'd even root for the BoSox (painfully so)
Or if the Cowboys aren't in it i'd root for your Giants.
