The bottom line is that the BCS championship game is supposed to have the 2 best teams facing each other. Anyone who doesn't think Mich and OSU are those 2 teams is crazy. The SEC is overratted and I'm sick of Urban's Crying. On a neutral field Mich would stomp Fla and just might beat OSU. Mich should have been in ahead of USC to begin with and now that they choked there is no other team that should be in instead of Mich IMO. All the talk about the Big Ten being weak and yet they have 3 teams in the top 10 of the BCS ratings. And lastly, the fact that the game would be a rematch shouldnt mean anything and the game will probably be as good as the first one.

i dont understand why you guys are arguing over this...system sucks...both teams deserve a chance...one thing i hate is that not every team plays a conference chapionship game....i dont think those games should count towards the bcs...its not fair to michigan that they have been idle for 2 weeks while florida gets credit for beating a good arkansas team because they play a confrence chapionship....jmo.

I disagree. Those other conferences need to step up and implement Championship games if they feel the other conferences have an advantage in having the championship games.

It's not that easy. The Big 10 would have to add a 12th team and pulling one from another conference isn't just a phone call away.

If there were playoffs, and everybody got a second shot, it would reduce the importance of the regular season.

To me, whether it's Michigan or Florida (I'd personally prefer watching a Florida-OSU game) isn't as important as the fact the BCS system guarantees that Ohio State will be there. Either way, if Ohio State's opponent wins the game they can legitimately claim they deserve the title.

Neither Florida nor Michigan has a gripe if they don't make it because they both lost a regular season game. Also, I think it is wrong to upgrade Florida a lot because of the Arkansas win simply because the SEC creates a bonus game with its championship game.
