i dont understand why you guys are arguing over this...system sucks...both teams deserve a chance...one thing i hate is that not every team plays a conference chapionship game....i dont think those games should count towards the bcs...its not fair to michigan that they have been idle for 2 weeks while florida gets credit for beating a good arkansas team because they play a confrence chapionship....jmo.

I agree JBC. I think Florida & Michigan BOTH deserve a shot.
My problem is last week we were arguing USC or Michigan and Florida (Stated by many) were not in the equation whether they won out or not. The same guys arguing for USC are now arguing for Florida. My side and argument have never changed. Why has their's? It's because of ONE STUPID thing ... "I don't want a rematch"
The 1st ever title game was 2 Big Ten teams against each other (just stated on ESPN). What's the big deal if it happens? Playoffs or NOT, it happens all the time and several times the champion lost previously in a regular season matchup to the team they beat to win the title. It has never been questioned why they were (1-1) against that team and still crowned the champ. Look at history in ANY sport INCLUDING CFB and you will see what i'm talking about.
You guys hate the "Rematch" thoughts and that's it because last week you made ZERO arguments for Florida!

Also love spreadman pointing out an obvious...
I wanted OSU/MICH from back in OCT when I said IT COULD HAPPEN while others said NO WAY...well, it still CAN. I'm only wanting OSU v FLA so OSU can blow them out and shut up the SEC people.
I'd love the 'REMATCH' more cuz it'll actually be a good game and OSU players know damn well that their hands will be full and they'll have to play perfect to beat them again.
You can see it on OSU players faces that they wanted no part of a rematch right after they beat UM...Troy Smith was the biggest obvious of knowing how good UM is/was. He about shit thinking he'd have to beat these guys again??
Sys SUCKS...FUCK YOU, FUCK ME

I dont hate the rematch....but in other sports those teams that win a rematch earn there way to winning it by making it through the playoffs...I think a reason why people didnt argue for florida is because they didnt really have a chance to get in the argument due to there bcs ranking unless someone like usc lost....it's hard for me to decide who i think should get it....i think florida because they do have the number 1 toughest schedule....but then i think to myself should michigan be punished for losing to the best team in the country? The debate could go on and on.....Originally posted by wayne1218I agree JBC. I think Florida & Michigan BOTH deserve a shot.

So wins over each other dont count.Cal was in there and Tenn beat them down.I mean ohio st. beat a top fifteen in Michigan a conference opponent. That arguement does not hold water.Originally posted by spreadmanBut the SEC doesn't have a single nonconference win over the BCS top 15. The entire league.

I've been trying to say the SEC is overrated forever. They all feel their conference speaks for itself and nobody does a damn thing out of conference. The fact is, MANY SEC teams were not what people want them to be and that includes Alabama, BIG Disappointment Auburn, Georgia, South Carolina and a Tenn. team who has zero conference wins over a top opponent. Those teams with (6-6) and (7-5) records are made out to be GREAT and they are not.Originally posted by spreadmanBut the SEC doesn't have a single nonconference win over the BCS top 15. They also went on the road and just DOMINATED what was thought to be a Top 3 Texas team ... and had the most dominating defense in CFB!Originally posted by jason18So wins over each other dont count.Cal was in there and Tenn beat them down.I mean ohio st. beat a top fifteen in Michigan a conference opponent. That arguement does not hold water.

Wayne as you saw last week I said UF has a shot...whats killing UF the most is the close win they had at home to SC.. also the road game at vandy and fsu even though they win its killing them because they were all touchdown or less games....
NOW Mich. every one of their wins were by at least a touchdown.. the only teams that are worth talking about that they played were Wisconsin, ND, and OSU and went 2-1..
FLA played... Georgia, Auburn, LSU, Tennesee, and Arkansas going 4-1 averaging a little more than a TD in the wins in points while MICH averaged a point difference of 17 in those two wins..
I would love to see UF play OSU but when it comes down to it the numbers are better in favor of Michigan, thats why they need a playoff system top 8 teams play..
1 seed plays 8, 2 plays 7, 3 plays 6, 4 plays 5, all neutral zones. 1 or 8 then plays 4 or 5, 2 or 7 then play 3 or 6, then the championship game.Quitters Never Win, Winners Will NEVER Quit
