Originally posted by savage1Its amazing;with three losses in a row, and the season basically riding on this game and tomorrow, the right move was to bring in Papelbon to start the eighth not to wait for over-the-hill Timlin to let some runners get on(which he did).

Damn, no kidding. Papelbon's what, 23? He hasn't pitched in about 4 days, and he used to be a starter. I mean, he was great when he came in (though I thought Giambi hit that ball out of the park when it left his bat) but it's incredible that he didn't start the inning.Last edited by Tomorrows Paper; 08-21-2006, 01:30 AM.Records:

Tony-I was arguing with someone on the Red Sox Forum who said that if he pitched two innings today, he might not be able to pitch tomorrow(like if they lost tonight, tomorrow would even matter!).Originally posted by TwoTonTonyyippee...we agree savage!!!
