Sometimes change of location helps a playerOriginally posted by TheFranchise21What makes Oliver Perez any different than Mike Pelfrey besides the fact the Perez has experience getting killed in Pittsburgh.Good Luck to everyone

Clark: What's steroids?
Richie: Something that makes your pee-pee smaller.
Clark: There must be steroids in macaroni!

I don't like this if it is true. X Man was big for us this year and he is worth more than Perez and Hernandez. I am disappointed.....Originally posted by JBC13espnnews said mets trade xavier nady for perez and hernandezThree Jack's Record http://www.bettorschat.com/forums/sh...10#post1323910

they have a prototypical #2 hitter in Loretta and Gonzo hitting #9 and batting .270 doesn't hurt them. They need BIG BATS, a #5 hitter, especially with Nixon out. Their produntion in the #5 hole this year has been awful. This isn't a knock against Lugo, I just don't see why it was a priority.Originally posted by TheFranchise21Because he is a prototypical 2 hitter with tons of speed who can fill a position, SS where they currently have a solid fielding but poor hitting Alex Gonzalez.Three Jack's Record http://www.bettorschat.com/forums/sh...10#post1323910

With Glavine struggling the Mets HAVE to do something for their rotation right?
JOHN MANUEL
I don't buy that at all. The Mets have a huge cushion and really have two months to get Glavine right. As long as they can buy time with Maine, El Duque, etc., they have time for Glavine to right his ship. For me, the Mets either deal Milledge for an ace (the aforementioned Giants deal looked good to me), or they just get a much smaller piece, like Livan. They are really just looking for a guy to give them a couple of playoff starts, not a guy to win the division for them. They have that done, even if Glavine is done. I think he'll figure it back out by the way.Good Luck to everyone
