He didn't coach at Florida like he did at Utah. Did you watch last year?

I think Leak threw the ball almost 400 times...When they whupped up on my FSU squad, there was no option....

Haha, I was in Tuscaloosa for that beatdown of the Gators.
He ran the offense very similarly to how he did in BG/Utah - the only difference was since Leak wasn't as mobile as Harris/Smith, he couldn't run as much option/misdirection.
          Records:

          NCAA Hoops (38-34-2, +4.59*)
          NFL Sides (34-25, +12.15*)
          NFL Totals (18-14-1, +8.23*)
          NCAA Foots Plays (65-48-4, +21.47*)
          NBA Plays (4-1-0, +5.92*)

You called it an option offense and now you are changing your mind cause leak couldn't run the option?

Why do i bother getting in these debates?

I don't know how else to tell you this but he Ran a pro set for most of the season and that is just a fact.

How was it a debate? You said Urban Meyer ran an NFL-style offense, which was frankly a stupid statement. Leak had 105 rushes last season. I never backed off what I said, Urban Meyer himself calls his offensive system a "spread-option offense." I did say he wasn't able to run it as effectively as he would have liked, because Leak wasn't as athletic as his previous QBs.

WRONG, i said Jackson was in a Pro Style offense last year UNDER MEYER (which he was). Don't mistake my words for your own!

There's a difference in Pro-style and NFL-style? Honestly, I can't imagine you think you're right here. No quarterback in the NFL averaged anywhere near 10 rushes per game.

I don't think so Tony. TP is stuck on the Meyer that coached at Utah. The fact of the matter is, he was more of a pro set offensive coach at Florida. I think he may have coached at Utah the way he did because that was what the Utes did when he got that job and it gave them their best chance to Win games. I don't care what Meyer said, do you think Florida signed him to eventually run the option? I don't. I think now that he can recruit anywhere that he will keep coaching a pro set offense down there!

And, half of Jackson's catches were on slip screens and hitch routes, which are almost never used in the NFL.

Wrong again. Meyer has recruited two top high school quarterbacks. Josh Portis ran the option in high school, and Tim Tebow was a scrambler/passer who occasionally ran the option.

Lots of college QB's run 10 x's a game. Culpepper used to do it at C.F. too. I don't get your point. Obviously QB's can't get away with running in the pro's like College because of the speed on defense. Just cause a guy runs 10 times in College, it doesn't mean it isn't a pro set offense!
