Hey Frank....If you like the Mets and Seaver, how do like this one.....

Tom Seaver was a pall bearer at my dad's funeral last August. He's a great guy and was a great friend of my dad. He grew up in his shoe repair store...

And when I was in college and he was throwing for the White Sox, I caught him twice at his mom's house between starts.....It's my claim to fame! I still have the ball we used and he signed for me!

And Seaver would definitely get my vote as the best Met ever

                          richer over the line
                          spinnerz

i realize he is a better hitter, but piazza has always been a poor receiver and easy to steal on.....JMHO that Carter was more of a prototypical good catcher.....not taking anything away from piazza at the plate at all

i think piazza caught a good game and if valentine gave him more days off he'd be more clutch late in the year. He was
easy to steal off of. Carter put in only 4 years with the mets, Piazza put in like 7 1/2 years.
                              richer over the line
                              spinnerz
