Roberto Alomar was a great ball player but IMO a piece of shit. Any player that spits in the face of an ump should be banned from baseball.
People do stupid shit sometimes Frank in the heat of the moment which I know they later regret.......I also think he was the best ever......not just great.
Hey Frank....If you like the Mets and Seaver, how do like this one.....
Tom Seaver was a pall bearer at my dad's funeral last August. He's a great guy and was a great friend of my dad. He grew up in his shoe repair store...
And when I was in college and he was throwing for the White Sox, I caught him twice at his mom's house between starts.....It's my claim to fame! I still have the ball we used and he signed for me!
And Seaver would definitely get my vote as the best Met ever

hellz yeh just look at the stats and carter had more protection like straw, hernandez in the lineup then todd zeile n robin ventura
i realize he is a better hitter, but piazza has always been a poor receiver and easy to steal on.....JMHO that Carter was more of a prototypical good catcher.....not taking anything away from piazza at the plate at all
i think piazza caught a good game and if valentine gave him more days off he'd be more clutch late in the year. He was
easy to steal off of. Carter put in only 4 years with the mets, Piazza put in like 7 1/2 years.
