ATS Rankings · Totals (O/U) Report · Betting Projections Even though the Heat (+370) and Nets (+700) captured big road wins last night as heavy underdogs versus the Cavaliers and Grizzles respectively, bettors watched the favorites go 8-3 straight up and 6-4-1 against the spread on Monday. The ‘under’ went 6-3 and a pair of totals pushed.

Portland (26-35 SU, 25-36 ATS) at Oklahoma City (35-28 SU, 34-28-1 ATS)

These teams will meet for the fourth and final time on Tuesday from Chesapeake Energy Arena. If you’re handicapping this matchup based on head-to-head trends, then a lean to Oklahoma City fits in this spot knowing the home team has won nine straight in this series.

The pair squared off last Thursday in Portland and the Trail Blazers captured a 114-109 win as one-point home underdogs and that was the second time this season they notched 114 at home versus OKC.

In the first meeting from OKC on Super Bowl Sunday, the Thunder pulled out a 105-99 victory. The six-point margin was tighter than the previous three at this venue, with OKC winning by 11, 16 and 34 points.

Oddsmakers opened the Thunder as a 6 ½-point favorite for Tuesday and the number moved to 7 at most betting shops. OKC enters this game in poor form, losers in three straight and that includes a humbling 104-89 setback at Dallas on Sunday. It was the 16th time this season that OKC was held under 100 and when that happens, the club has gone 4-12 in those games.

Portland has had trouble holding anybody down this season, allowing 110.8 points per game and that number goes up 112.1 PPG away from the Moda Center.

Following the win over the Thunder on Thursday, the Trail Blazers ran past the Nets 130-116 on Saturday as 10 ½-point home favorites.

On the road, the Trail Blazers have struggled to a 10-22 SU and 11-21 ATS record. When catching points as a visitor, Portland is a dreadful 4-16 SU and 6-14 ATS.

Portland was supposed to be in action last night but its game versus Minnesota was postponed due to a slippery court caused by condensation from an ice sheet underneath the Target Center.

Since the Trail Blazers didn’t play last night, you could throw out the back-to-back numbers but the travel factor will still apply on Tuesday. For what it’s worth, Portland started off the season 0-5 when playing on no rest but it’s gone 4-1 both SU and ATS since then and that includes a run of three straight wins.

These teams combined for 223 points last week and the ‘over’ of 222 ½ barely connected. Portland enters this game on a 4-0 run to the high side and it’s been a solid ‘over’ wager (35-26) this season. OKC has leaned to the ‘under’ (32-27) but the ‘over’ has gone 17-13 at home.

NBATV will provide national coverage of this game at 8:05 p.m. ET.

    L.A. Lakers (19-44 SU, 27-34-2 ATS) at Dallas (26-36 SU, 35-27 ATS)

The Mavericks have won 13 straight encounters against the Lakers and that includes three wins this season. Even more impressive, Dallas has covered 10 of those games. During this run at home, the Mavs have gone 6-0 SU and 5-1 ATS, which includes a 122-73 victory on Jan. 22 as six-point home favorites.

Fast forward to Tuesday and the line is nearly double that price with the Mavericks opening as 10-point home favorites.

Dallas has gone 4-2 SU and 5-1 ATS since the All-Stark break and the defense has been exceptional with only one opponent posting triple digits and that came in a 100-95 loss at Atlanta. The Mavericks haven’t given double digits all season but they’ve won and covered five straight and eight of the last 10 in this role.

The Lakers started off the season in decent fashion, going 10-10 through their first 20 games. Since then, the club is 9-34 (21%) and they enter this game on a six-game losing skid. They’re lacking any offensive punch and trading away shooting guard Lou Williams certainly didn’t help. They’re averaging 98 PPG since the All-Star break and 18 of their 19 wins have come when they score over 100, which tells you how poor the defense has been (110.8 PPG) under head coach Luke Walton.

If Los Angeles shoots lights out, it certainly has a shot and it did so in recent road wins over the Bucks (122-114) and Knicks (121-107). However, the Mavs are in a different class defensively and that’s part of the reason bettors are starting at a total of 205 for this game.

Dallas has seen the ‘under’ cash in eight of its last 10 and the Lakers are 4-2 to the low side since the All-Star break. The ‘under’ has gone 9-4 in the last 13 meetings between the pair.

Washington (37-24 SU, 34-27 ATS) at Phoenix (21-42 SU, 32-29-2 ATS)

The late-night game is arguably the toughest to handicap because the Wizards have struggled on the road this season (11-15 SU, 13-13 ATS) and they’ll be facing a Phoenix team that will be going for a season-high fourth straight win. As a road favorite, Washington has gone 5-4 SU and 4-5 ATS.

They both played on Sunday and the pair both captured tight victories. Washington rallied past Orlando 115-114 at home while Phoenix nipped Boston 109-106 in a buzzer beater in the desert.

The Wizards have gone 3-3 since the All-Star break and while that record includes an impressive win over the Warriors, they also lost the 76ers and have gone 2-4 ATS during this span.

Meanwhile, the Suns have won and covered three straight at home and are 4-2 ATS in the same span. You could argue that Phoenix should be 5-1 ATS but a brutal 120-113 overtime loss to Chicago as a six-point underdog didn’t sit well for their backers.

Washington has won three in a row (2-1 ATS) against Phoenix, but all of the decisions came by seven points or less. In the first regular season meeting, the Wizards earned a 106-101 win but failed to cover as 7 ½-point home favorites.

The Suns haven’t been stellar at home this season, going 13-18 SU and 17-14 ATS. However, they’ve beat up on teams from the Eastern Conference with a 9-4 SU and 10-3 ATS record.

Phoenix has watched the ‘over’ go 8-5 in those games versus the East and they own the second best ‘over’ mark in the NBA this season at 39-23. Washington has also been a strong lean to the high side (35-24-1) this season and that’s why you’re staring at a total of 225 ½ on Tuesday.

Lastly, make a note that this will be the first of five straight on the road for Washington and all of the opponents have losing records. I mention that because the Wizards are 0-3 ATS in their last three versus clubs below .500 and those tendencies are tough to break at times.

    • Schroder, Howard bicker during Atlanta's loss to Warriors
      March 7, 2017

ATLANTA (AP) Dennis Schroder sounds miffed about getting benched. Dwight Howard insists it's no big deal. Mike Budenholzer says his team has got to learn play together.

One thing is certain: The Atlanta Hawks are in a bit of disarray heading toward the final month of the regular season.

Schroder was yanked early in the third quarter of Monday night's 119-111 loss to the Golden State Warriors after arguing with Howard about an errant pass.

While the two were angrily exchanging words, the Warriors got the ball to Stephen Curry for an open 3-pointer.

Budenholzer wound up sending Schroder to the bench with 8:41 to go in the third, even though he led the Hawks with 23 points. The 23-year-old German never returned, merely a spectator as Atlanta took its sixth loss in eight games to slip back further in the Eastern Conference standings.

''I don't understand Coach's decision,'' Schroder said. ''Maybe I'm too competitive, I don't know. I'm just trying to be competitive, trying to win games. But I don't get that one.''

Budenholzer was tight-lipped, calling it a ''coaching decision.''

''We need to learn to play together and stay together for 48 minutes,'' he said. ''That's something that's very important to us.''

Schroder has run into other problems in his first year as a Hawks starter. After the All-Star break, he was late reporting back to the team and served a one-game suspension . Then, the very next night, he was late for the team bus and came off the bench for a game at Orlando.

Now, it looks as if he is headed for a summit with Budenholzer and Howard.

''We've got to figure it out, me and coach,'' Schroder said. ''I want to talk about it. Dwight's got to be in there, too. Get on the same page. Then we're going be all right.''

Howard downplayed the incident and said he looks forward to smoothing things over with his teammate, but the whole affair raised more troubling questions about an eight-time All-Star center who joined Atlanta this season with a reputation for causing problems in the locker room.

''It happens during the course of the game,'' he said. ''It just cost us a 3. It's something that we've got to make sure we nip it in the bud quick, and move on to the next play.''

Howard said disagreements are bound to pop up during the course of the season.

''Listen, we're a team,'' he said. ''It's OK if we have conversations. It's not always conflict when you have a conversation with your coach or a team meeting. That's what you're supposed to do. So, by him wanting to have a meeting and talk, it's great. It's great for our team. It's great for each other. We're all open to it.''

Still, it wasn't a good sign for a team that has struggled all season to find some consistency .

The Hawks, who were the top seed in the East just two seasons ago, are now three games out of a home-court edge in the first round of the playoffs. If they don't turn things around soon, they could be facing a challenge from teams below them in the standings.

Indiana has closed within two games of Atlanta, Detroit and Chicago are three games back, and streaking Miami looks like one of the league's most dangerous teams after a dismal start.

Schroder's benching came after he got off to a magnificent start against the Warriors. He scored 19 points in the first quarter - his most ever in a period - and knocked down four shots beyond the 3-point arc. By the half, he had 23 points and seemed on his way to setting a career high.

      He didn't get the chance.

Schroder conceded he should have waited until a timeout or dead ball to raise his concerns with Howard, instead of bickering in the middle of the court.

''They got a 3 right out of it,'' he said. ''I've got to do better.''

The other Atlanta players are eager to snuff out any signs of a lingering feud. They're going to need both Schroder and Howard to have any shot at turning things around this season.

''When you play basketball, especially in a game like this, emotions are high and everybody is quick to react,'' Thabo Sefolosha said. ''But at the end of the day, we're a team and we've got to play as a team. I'm sure they're going to talk between the two of them and they're going to be fine.''

      • Bogut's broken leg leaves Cavaliers cracked, incomplete
        March 7, 2017

CLEVELAND (AP) Andrew Bogut went from being perhaps the final puzzle piece to another missing one for the Cavaliers.

        The champions remain incomplete.

Just an hour or so after saying how excited he was to be joining one of the league's deepest teams, Bogut broke his left leg after playing just 58 seconds in his Cleveland debut on Monday night, an injury that could force the Cavs to resume their search for a big man.

Bogut had just been welcomed with a roaring ovation by Cleveland's crowd when his shin banged into the knee of Miami's Okaro White in the first minute of the second quarter. Bogut immediately knew his leg was broken, and LeBron James said he heard Bogut's bone crack on the collision.

As Bogut was helped from the floor, Cavs general manager David Griffin could barely watch as his latest acquisition hobbled into the locker room.

''It happened so quick,'' said All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving, who knows about the suddenness of injuries after breaking his kneecap in the NBA Finals two years ago. ''Adversity, it can come in waves. It can come just at the moment and that's what happened with Bogut.''

Bogut's injury came at the end of a day when the Cavs appeared closer to whole than they've been in months.

At the team's morning shootaround, All-Star forward Kevin Love did agility and shooting drills and appeared to be closer to a return than the projected six-week timeframe the Cavs announced when he underwent knee surgery on Valentine's Day. And then there was J.R. Smith playing in a vigorous 3-on-3 game before the Cavs' 106-98 loss to the Heat. Smith, who has been out since Dec. 20 after badly breaking his thumb and undergoing surgery, may be just a few days from making his return.

Bogut's signing, which came just days after the team locked up free agent and three-time All-Star guard Deron Willliams for the remainder of the season, was supposed to be the last move the Cavs needed to make before the playoffs.

Cleveland has needed a rim-protecting big man all season, and the massive Bogut was projected to give the Cavs more than that. The 32-year-old is a gifted passer with postseason savvy and was motivated to get back to the Finals for a possible shot at the Golden State Warriors, the team he won a ring with in 2015 but discarded him last summer to make room for Kevin Durant.

It's premature to say how long Bogut will be out, and the initial diagnosis of a fractured tibia doesn't provide any timeframe because it's not known if he shattered the bone or chipped it. In any event, Bogut will be sidelined indefinitely, which could send Griffin shopping for the postseason.

The Cavs need a backup for Tristan Thompson and big body to contend with some of the centers they could face in May and June.

Bogut, who missed the last two games of the 2016 Finals with a knee injury, said he chose Cleveland over Boston, the Cavs' nearest competitor in the Eastern Conference, because ''it's the best opportunity to try to win a championship playing with one of the best if not the best players to play the game.''

The allure of playing with James is also what brought Williams to the Cavs. After getting a buyout from Dallas, he told Cleveland he was coming to chase a championship.

With one eye on a third meeting with the Warriors in June, Griffin has expertly re-inforced his roster, adding Bogut, Deron Williams, Derrick Williams and Kyle Korver since Jan. 1. There aren't many quality big men on the market, but the club has interviewed and worked out Larry Sanders and there's always a chance the Cavs would consider re-signing Anderson Varejao.

Despite the second loss to Miami in three days and Bogut's unfortunate injury, Irving is assured the Cavs have enough to win it all again.

''David Griffin has done an unbelievable job and the pieces that we do have, I mean, this is probably the best group that I've played on since I've been here,'' Irving said. ''And that's hands down. And talent all around. So I'm definitely still confident about it and I always will be.''

            • Armadillo: Wednesday's six-pack

Odds to win the major league regular season hits title (William Hill sports):

              5-2— Jose Altuve

              9-2— Rookie Betts

              6-1— DJ Lemahieu

              8-1— Robinson Cano

              12-1— Manny Machado

15-1— Francisco Lindor, Miguel Cabrera, Trea Turner

              18-1— Dustin Pedroia

              **********

              Armadillo: Wednesday's List of 13: Mid-week musings

              13) Southern Utah 109, Montana State 105, 3OT— Game ended at 1:40am; Thunderbirds stormed back from a double digit second half deficit to post the upset of 6th-seeded Bobcats. Randy Onwuasor had 43 points and six steals for SUU; couple times, he just took the ball away from Montana State players and scored baskets. Fun game to watch.

Luckily for Southern Utah, Wednesday is an off day for the Big Sky tourney.

              12) Portland 126, Oklahoma City 121— Russell Westbrook scored 58 points to no avail; maybe the people at ESPN will figure out that basketball is a team game- one of their afternoon shows spent an entire half-hour hashing over the NBA’s MVP race, six weeks before the season ends.

Who cares? It is a team sport. Too many NBA types care more about individuals.

              11) Gonzaga 74, St Mary’s 56— Zags didn’t look like the same team that struggled to beat Santa Clara/Pacific in first two rounds. They should be a #1 seed next week.

              10) Pittsburgh 61, Georgia Tech 59— This is a good score for teams like Illinois State, who are holding their breath, holding some bubble teams in the $$$ conferences fall on their face this week.

              9) Northern Kentucky 59, Milwaukee 53— George Clooney’s alma mater goes to the NCAA’s in the first season they’re eligible; this is only their fifth season in Division I basketball.

              8) South Dakota State 79, Omaha 77— Jackrabbits were only 8-8 in Summit League, could be headed to Dayton for a play-in game. Last two nights of this tournament drew over 21,000 fans in Sioux Falls. Summit League deserves a little more national TV time.

              7) Dirk Nowitzki went over the 30,000 point mark last night, joining Karl Malone and Kobe Bryant as the only players to do that, all with the same team.

              6) Ohio State hoop coach Thad Matta told a media member that an opposing coach told one of his recruits not to go to Ohio State because Matta is dying (he isn’t). Seriously.

“Somebody told a recruit I was dying. Swear to God. Not that my foot didn’t lift, but that I was going to die. It’s a tough business I’m in here.”

Looking forward to finding out who the genius was who said that.

              5) Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw threw 149 innings LY; in those 149 innings, only two runners tried to steal a base against him— one made it, one did not.

              4) Blazers-Timberwolves game Monday night was postponed because of condensation on the floor of the arena in Minnesota. Helped Portland last night, when they won that wild game in Oklahoma City.

              3) Underrated stat this season: Duke, which plays no true road games in pre-conference play, went 3-6 on the road in ACC games.

              2) Coaching carousel is spinning, which is sad for guys who lose their jobs: North Texas, NC State, Missouri, South Florida, Quinnipiac, Drake, Youngstown State, Cleveland State all have job openings. LSU is expected to fire Johnny Jones as soon as the Tigers’ season ends.

1— RIP to Mr Bill Webb, who directed baseball games in New York City and on national level for almost four decades. Living in upstate New York and with my dad such a big Mets fan, I watched thousands of his broadcasts. He made televised games more fun, even though he never appeared on camera. RIP, sir.

Golden State (52-11 SU, 28-33-2 ATS) rallied from a 15-point deficit to stun the Hawks on Monday in the final game of their road trip, 119-111 to cash as 5 ½-point favorites. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson each overcame poor shooting nights to score a total of 37 points, while Andre Iguodala came off the bench to pump in 24 points. The Warriors snapped a six-game ATS slide, while covering for the first time in six tries away from Oracle Arena.

The Warriors are in an interesting scheduling situation on Wednesday as they return from five games on the highway, then head back on the road on Friday for a two-game trip to Minnesota and San Antonio. Golden State goes for the sweep of Boston after cruising past the Celtics at TD Garden in mid-November, 104-88 as 8 ½-point favorites. The Warriors shut down the C’s in the third quarter, 31-9, while holding a 29-point lead heading into the final quarter.

Last season, the Celtics ended Golden State’s 54-game regular season home winning streak in a 109-106 upset as 11 ½-point underdogs to cover in Oakland for the third straight time. However, the Celtics have slumped to a 5-10 SU and 7-6-2 ATS record in the role of a road underdog this season. The Warriors haven’t struggled in their first back from a long road trip by compiling a 6-0 SU and 5-1 ATS mark in Oakland off an away swing of three games or more.

                      Good to See You Again

The Jazz and Rockets are both headed to the playoffs (eventually) in the Western Conference as the two teams hook up in Houston. The two squads split a pair of matchups back in November with the home team winning each time, as both games sailed OVER the total. The Rockets couldn’t hold onto a 16-point advantage after one quarter in Monday’s 112-110 defeat at San Antonio, in spite of 39 points and 12 assists from James Harden.

Utah is riding a three-game winning streak even though the Jazz haven’t beaten great competition in this span by topping the Nets, Kings, and Pelicans. Quin Snyder’s team has stumbled to a 2-10 SU/ATS record in the role of a road underdog, but came out with a victory in its last attempt at Washington in late February. Utah has been involved in plenty of high-scoring affairs away from Salt Lake City recently by compiling a 6-1 mark to the OVER the last seven road contests.

                      Last Chance

The Pacers attempt to pull off the four-game season sweep of the Pistons at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Indiana dominated Detroit in its last matchup, 105-84 as three-point favorites, as the Pacers have captured eight of the past nine meetings with the Pistons. Stan Van Gundy’s squad is heating up at the right time by winning five of the past seven games, including a 109-95 home triumph over the Bulls on Monday.

Indiana returns home following a 2-3 road trip, capped off by Monday’s 100-88 setback at Charlotte. The Pacers are riding an eight-game UNDER streak, while dropping four of their past five games at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. The Pistons have struggled as a road underdog recently by compiling a 1-7 SU and 2-6 ATS mark, while dropping four visits to Indianapolis.

                      Buckin’ it Up

Milwaukee suffered through a horrible January and early part of February before winning seven of its past 10 games. The Bucks picked up a pair of solid home victories over the Clippers and Raptors before blowing out the 76ers as 5 ½-point road favorites on Monday, 112-98. Milwaukee begins a three-game homestand against New York as the Knicks have lost 10 straight contests coming off a victory.

The Knicks outlasted the Magic on Monday, 113-105 to pick up its fourth consecutive cover in the role of an underdog in spite of Carmelo Anthony sitting out due to a left knee injury. Anthony is expected to return to the lineup on Wednesday as the Knicks and Bucks have split a pair of matchups this season. New York rallied from a 13-point deficit to shock Milwaukee in its last meeting at BMO Harris Bradley Center on January 6 as five-point ‘dogs, 116-111, as Anthony drilled four three-pointers and scored 26 points.

                      Well Rested

The Raptors have been off since Saturday’s 101-94 setback to the Bucks as Toronto continues a five-game road swing in New Orleans. Toronto has cashed in each of its last three opportunities in the road underdog role, including in last Friday's victory at Washington. The Raptors head to New Orleans going for the season sweep of the Pelicans after a 108-106 overtime victory on January 31 at the Air Canada Center.

The Pelicans dropped to 2-5 since the trade for DeMarcus Cousins (1-5 with him in the lineup) following Monday’s five-point setback at Utah. New Orleans is currently riding a 9-1 run to the UNDER, including six of the past seven hitting the UNDER since the All-Star break. The Pelicans have won seven of their last nine in the home favorite role, while losing four of the past five home matchups with the Raptors.

                      Playoff Rematch

The Heat outlasted the Hornets in seven games of the first round of the playoffs last season as the two Southeast rivals meet at American Airlines Arena. Charlotte knocked off Miami in the first two meetings this season, while the past seven matchups between these squads have finished UNDER the total. The Heat continue to push towards a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference after pulling off a home-and-home sweep of the Cavaliers, capped off by Monday’s 106-98 triumph at Cleveland as 9 ½-point ‘dogs.

The Hornets are seeking their first three-game winning streak since late January after topping the Pacers at home on Monday. Charlotte finished its past road trip with an impressive 10-point triumph at Denver, but the Hornets have lost 15 of their previous 18 games away from Spectrum Center. Steve Clifford’s club has fared well against division opponents this season by winning and covering six of eight matchups with the only two defeats coming to the Wizards.

                      Head-to-Head Trends

-- The Bulls continue their up-and-down season as they travel to Orlando, looking to beat the Magic for the third time this season. The last five meetings between the Bulls and Magic have finished UNDER the total, while Orlando has posted 80 and 92 points in two losses to Chicago this season.

-- Atlanta and Brooklyn meet for the final time in the regular season as the Hawks won each of the last two matchups by over 20 points. The Hawks look to snap a three-game home skid, while seeking their second cover in the last eight contests. Brooklyn picked up only its 11th victory on the season in Monday’s upset of Memphis, as the Nets have yet to win back-to-back games this season.

-- Minnesota has been the hottest ATS team since the All-Star break by covering in all five opportunities as the Wolves welcome in the Clippers. Los Angeles won at the Target Center in November, while Minnesota rallied past the Clippers in mid-January at Staples Center. The Clippers have owned the Wolves in Minneapolis by winning nine straight visits to the Target Center since April 2012.

-- Speaking of ownership, mark down a victory whenever the Spurs face the Kings. San Antonio has won an astounding 18 of the last 19 matchups with Sacramento dating back to 2012, including seven straight victories at AT&T Center. The Kings are making their first trip to San Antonio after losing a pair of home games to the Spurs earlier this season.

-- The Wizards head to Denver with no rest following Tuesday’s victory at Phoenix as Washington has put together a 4-7 record on the second of a back-to-back. The Nuggets blew an early 11-point lead in a 92-85 setback at Washington in December, as Denver looks for its 10th home victory in its last 14 tries.

Wednesday NBA Betting Preview (8:05 p.m. ET)
Toronto Raptors vs. New Orleans Pelicans

Sportsbook.ag Odds: New Orleans (-2); Total set at 203.5

The Toronto Raptors get their first look at the new-look Pelicans tonight and seeing DeMarcus Cousins on the other side of the floor is not a welcome sight to Toronto by any means. Cousins scored 22 and 19 points in two games vs. Toronto this year as a member of the Sacramento Kings, helping the Kings go 2-0 SU and ATS in those contests. That's been the norm for Cousins vs. Toronto throughout his career and now that he's teamed up with Anthony Davis, Toronto better find answers in a hurry to slow down the big duo in the paint.

Toronto is in a battle with Boston and Washington for the 2nd seed in the Eastern Conference and can ill-afford for the rest of this road trip to go sour. They've started off the trip 1-1 SU and ATS after winning in Washington and losing in Milwaukee, and with trips to Atlanta and Miami on deck, Toronto will definitely have their hands full.

They did beat the Pelicans 108-106 in OT back at the end of January, but the Pelicans are a completely different team today, and Toronto is without Kyle Lowry who had 33 points in that win.

The Raps are a different team as well with the additions of Serge Ibaka and P.J. Tucker, but missing Lowry's offensive ability hurts when a key to success for Toronto tonight will be dominating the scoring matchup between the guards.

New Orleans has still yet to hit their stride with Cousins in the fold but everyone can see that it's only a matter of time before the entire team figures it all out. In Cousins' two home games the Pelicans were blown out by Houston in the first game back from All-Star weekend, and fell 101-98 in OT to the Spurs last week. Those are the elite of the elite teams in this league and while Toronto is arguably a step below those foes, it's not like they aren't a very good team in their own right.

For New Orleans to win tonight they'll need their two All-Stars up front to dominate because the Raptors have trouble guarding the paint at times. Ibaka was brought in to help in that regard, but he can't cover both Davis and Cousins, meaning one of them will always have an advantage inside.

G Jrue Holiday has become the third option on the Pelicans and he's got to be exicted to play tonight as he had 30 points in the first meeting with the Raptors and did the bulk of the offensive work for New Orleans that night. If New Orleans can get all three of those guys going, the two points they are laying will be way too few and it will be an easy Pelicans cover.

Yet, even if New Orleans only has two of those three guys producing, they should still get this win. Not having to deal with Lowry is a huge plus for a Pelicans defense that can be shaky at times, meaning most of their attention can go to DeMar DeRozan tonight to force others to beat them. With Cousins and Davis patrolling the paint, that's the formula for success for New Orleans tonight and bettors should not be surprised to see this game play out like that.
