Rodgers is no Brees or Brady.

Talk about letting your heart rule your head. Brady is a no-brainer HOF'er and Brees has been putting up stats for almost a decade. I'll leave out the fact that they've both won rings and AR hasn't.

You yourself pointed out that this is ONLY Rodgers third year playing.

I don't see the Steeler fans willing to comment on the fact that the Steelers faced only two stud QBs all year and they both lit their D up. New Orleans had 29 yards rushing against the Steelers but Brees put up over 30 yard and New Orleans won, showing that Green Bay can still win the game even if they don't rush the ball well. I'll guarantee the Pack has more than 29 yards rushign against the Steelers.

Don't misunderstand me, I am NOT saying that AR is Brees or Brady at this point in his career. However, for this year to say AR isn't in the conversation with any QB in football is foolish. AR had a far better year than Brees did this year. Brady had a better year than AR, but we are talking 111 QB rating to 101 for AR. If you don't think AR was in that top echelon for QBs THIS year, you don't know football.

I think if you read post 29 and 67 in this thread I (Steeler fan ) do mention those things.

So to be clear, Rodgers is an elite QB.

Ben, Carson Palmer, Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco are all just third or fourth tier QB's, is that correct?

In the 2 games that I feel have the best gauge for Rogers stats vs Top NFL Defenses that compare to the Steelers defense.

              1) Vs the Jets, Rogers completed 15 out of 34 for 170 yds and 0 td's.

              2) In the NFC Championship game vs Chicago he completed 17 out 30 for 244 yds and 0 Td's. with 2 interceptions. He did run for a TD. He had a 55 pass rating.

I'm anxious to see if he becomes the next Jim Kelly of the NFL.
3 of these 4 games were played indoors this year.

Yes Rogers played 12 career games indoors,
he has thrown 26 touchdowns against five interceptions in those 12 games en route to a 111.1 passer rating.

Overall, the Packers are 6-6 in those games, but it would be hard to blame the offense for many of the losses. It has produced at least 27 points in nine of the 12 games.

Fact is GB only played Atlanta-Detroit and Minnesota, not even close to good let alone a great defense in the whole bunch over these years

Brees was 34-44, 305 yards and 2 TDs.

                Tom Brady 30-43, 350 yards, 4 TDs.

I love the week heading into the Super Bowl. Lots of fun trash talk and people trying to show why their team will win.
That's what makes this game so special to everyone involved.

Could you please point out the post where I said anything about these guys?

I would bet any amount of money if you polled NFL GM's, every single one would take AR over Flacco and Palmer. 90%, if not all if them would take him over Matt Ryan. Ben would be a better fight, but I'd say atleast 2/3 would take AR over Ben if they were starting a team certainly better than

                    • Madden NFL 11 Predict Steelers Seventh Super Bowl

                      Steelers win 24-20

Lest you scoff at the notion that Madden NFL 11 isn't an accurate prediction device, take a gander at the first seven years they made these predictions. While the scores were not always quite right, the winner was correct six of those seven times (and really, how could Madden account for David Tyree) which is better than most gambling sharps out there.

Super Bowl XXXVIII – Patriots 23, Panthers 20
[Actual Score: Patriots 32, Panthers 29]

Super Bowl XXXIX – Patriots 47, Eagles 31
[Actual score: Patriots 24, Eagles 21]

Super Bowl XL – Steelers 24, Seahawks 19
[Actual score: Steelers 21, Seahawks 10]

Super Bowl XLI– Colts 38, Bears 27
[Actual score: Colts 29, Bears 17]

Super Bowl XLIII – Steelers 28, Cardinals 24
[Actual score: Steelers 27, Cardinals 23]

Super Bowl XLIV – Saints 35, Colts 31
[Actual score: Saints 31, Colts 17]

Not too shabby, eh? Better than most of my picks, to be sure.

This year Rodgers was better than Brees, that can't be disputed, it is fact. Brady was better this year, but not by a lot. I'm not comparing careers, this season. If AR wins the Super Bowl this year he is absolutely in the same conversation as Brees.

If you asked NFL guys which QB they would take to start a franchise, taking all factors including age, AR would be in top 5 of everyone asked, probably top 3, and many would have him #1
