You are proving my point. Wins are MEANINGLESS.

Or did Jamie Moyer and Carpenter start pitching in different leagues? You tell me.
I read everything you wrote and NOT ONCE did you acknowledge there was any difference at all until i brought it up.

Really? Last i knew they were always rewarded nicely with contracts, Cy Young Trophies and Wins in the W Column of the newspaper. Meaningless?

Do you want me to acknowledge every aspect of baseball before I post something? No shit, it's harder to pitch in the AL than the NL. Go read the Jamie Moyer v. Carpenter post and tell me whether or not ERA is more important than Wins.

P.S. Moyer is 46 years old and his numbers are damn impressive for his age. It's nice that you keep using the oldest pitcher in baseball to prove your point but geez, give the guy a break.

When you are talking about pitchers and era, it is one of, if not the biggest factor going so yes, it would be nice if you told the whole story instead of 1/2 of it.

LMAO. I'm talking about right now. Who gives a shit how Carpenter faired in the AL five years ago?

                  Guy A- 5.32 ERA 10 wins
                  Guy B- 2.19 ERA 9 wins
                  (IN THE SAME LEAGUE)

You tell me who you want, and that should tell you what's more important. This even a debate because 99 out of 100 people will tell you ERA is more important on judging a pitcher than wins

I used Moyer because of the large discrepency in his numbers, but yes he is old. His numbers are decent for a 40 year old.

Next time I'll be sure to include every fact of the sport before posting.....

                                How's this Wayne:

Guy A- 12 Wins and an ERA of 3.47

Guy B- 10 Wins and an ERA of 2.04

Who do you want? Again point proven, with neither guy being anywhere near 40.
