She also used taxpayer money to bring her kids along on the campaign and more importantly and as far as I am concerned, abused her power as Governor in firing someone over an issue which was family related.
When you consider her lack of experience and qualifications in important matters such as foreign matters, it is not surprising that other than the staunchest Republicans, most people are quickly losing interest in her candidacy.

And where is your outrage over Ba-ROCK-star spending $3 million for a Hollywood set.....

And, regarding Palin, you would be the FIRST ONE to slam her for abonding her kids, especially a new born, if they were not with her. Now she has her kids there, rightfully so, and you are slamming her. Where was your outrage at seeing Chelsea Clinton stumping everyday for Hillary....they have words for people that think like this...hypoctire.

      • You are right!!!! We also have a 7% unemployment rate so people are losing their jobs. We also have soldiers that are in the reserves that had nice paying jobs... Had to take a pay cut to go to Iraq also are losing their homes because they cannot afford their payments... The ones that were self employed are also losing their business. So please do not drink that Kool Aid..... I can tell that you are an hard working honest person... best of luck to you...

When reservists get called to duty their expenses are frozen....i.e. house and car payments, so this statement is false. Not sure what the law is called but have friends that took advantage (if you want to call it that) while they were overseas....

The overall point is that she is TOTALLY unqualified as far as I am concerned to serve as VP or President, and that her using taxpayer money and her abuse of power as governor as just add more fuel for the fire.
She is the one who is the real hypocrite-yeah preach morality and safe sex, and yet her own 17 year old daughter gets pregnancy-nice parenting and teaching her daughter the facts of life and nice respect for her by her daughter.
Thank God-the American public finally discovered the truth abouy this lightweight bimbo.

I would say that is an equal waste of money and 20X more expensive!

Why no outrage...because it wasn't convenient?
True, there's a lot of money "wasted" on everything, ad campaigns, etc etc. That's not my point. I'm trying to figure how you spend $150,000 on clothes. I know how you spend the money on the other stuff. She's didn't have decent clothes already? What if Bush said he had to raise taxes to buy a million dollar pair of shoes, you wouldn't think that's odd, but spending a $150,000 on clothes is no big deal?

But everytime I talked to someone about it, we got about 2 sentences in and then they just shout "Muslim!" "Communist!" "Anti-American!". "How could anyone consider the other guy?!?".

Sometimes I feel like I'm trying to have a political conversation with someone that has Tourette's. I'm a level-headed person, but if I didn't know better then I would think that the Democratic Party actually sends guys like Dimer onto the message boards to convince people like me to vote Democrat. It's the weirdest thing I've ever seen.

ctt, Your post sums up my feelings 110%.

I have not voted in the last 2 elections because i quite honestly felt like my vote didn't matter and i didn't like my choices. This year i said it was my duty to vote and i feel like i need to. I do not consider myself a Dem. or Rep.

The last 2 times i actually voted, 1 was for George Sr and the other was for Clinton. Say what you want about those choices but my point is simple. I vote for the person i like and not the party i "Follow".

I am so confused by this election. I just read this thread again, start to finish. I've also read many of the other political threads too and never responded. Politics are not something i like debating because simply put ... it is endless.

I feel exactly like you do in this election and Republicans have actually turned me off so much just by their slander in debates that i feel like i'm pushed closer and closer to Obama every time i read threads like this. I'm not sure if it is their approach or what but i'm so sick of the Non American/Ayers talk that it totally turns me off to their point. It never seems to be about the future and issues at hand. It drives me crazy time and time again hearing the same stuff.

                        • I believe that 90% of the people that vote for McCain are doing it because they make 250,000 or more a year and they do not want higher taxes, and the other 10% are thru and thru Republicans and vote their party.

It came down to the vice president for me and there is no way that I'm voting for a senior citizen who's health is questionable and has Palin as their running mate. And if you do not think it will be another 4 years of Bush if McCain is elected, just listen to his running mate. Every time that she is out on the stump she says that John is the guy that can straighten out this economy and win the wars! And yes that is plural...WARS!

My question is this, "How many more wars are they planning on in 4 years?"

I believe that some of the negative opinions about Palin are sexist. Two can play your game.

Looks like McCain is winning this poll!

Probably means the national polls are off

The trillions spent on the war, tax cuts for the wealthy, increasing gas prices... and so on and so on, as it has been stated many times around here. Bush failed in so many areas as president as well as the Republican's in Congress for the six years they had. Little is affected by what is done today. Everything the president does and Congress for that matter has a residual effect down the road. Just admit it and get on with the change that's about to transpire.....
