What I would like to know is do you make at least $150k a year? If not and you vote republican then you know nothing about politics, because what the republicans are fighting for is people that make $150k a year and more. It may be $250k or more. Hard to imagine people that don't make any money remotely close to that yet they vote Republican.

What I make a year is really nobody's business. I vote republican cause you dems want the government to run everything and want people to sit on their ass and live off people that do work. Does that post make fucking sense to you or do I need to make myself a little clearer?

Monte is exactly right. If you're making less than $150k and voting Republican, you know nothing about politics.

I will vote Democrat and that ideology of putting money in the hands of the majority of the people any day over the Republican's ideology of making sure the upper income makers are living comfortably and paying less taxes. There's a reason why the rich have no interest in the flat tax: Because they DON'T PAY the same tax percentage the rest of this country does, and Republican's have a goal of making sure it stays that way. It doesn't work. They just hoard more money, esp during financial messes such as we're in.

And what on God's green Earth did the Republican's do with 6 years rule in Congress and the Whitehouse? Bankrupted this fucking country and sent us into a modern day depression. 2 wars and 2 failed stimulus plans later and we were done.

Obama has made some mistakes along the way, but he's made some good progress too. ALL combat troops are out of Iraq. Troop withdrawal in Afghanistan will start next year and we will be out of that miserable fucking mess as well. Osama Bin Laden is dead. Unemployment isn't the best, but is slowly recovering. Stock market continues to trade at higher levels. Oil prices/gas prices are somewhat stable.

Republican's in Congress have stonewalled any attempts at progress.
So please, let me know what good the Republican's did during their reign in the White house and Congress??? And somehow you want more of that?

I think the reason why i'm sick of this gov't is they spend spend spend on nothing and i'm more worried about my kids and what they will have to go threw then what is going on now. I'm sick of this crap that goes on that no one cares about what happens with our 15 trillion debt then they are worried about passing the payroll tax, of course that will pass...

whomever gets in office that will keep my taxes low(i make less than 150k) and get our gas prices back down to a reasonable price which in turn will lower food costs-that is what i need

You act like this is the first administration to waste money on something that didn't work. Ever hear of the Iraq and Afghanistan war? Talk about waste. To the tune of trillions and trillions of tax dollars. That's where your tax dollar was wasted and continued to be wasted until now!

In my eyes, there was nothing this admin was going to do that would satisfy them. They've tried a lot of things to fix the problems. Some have worked and others have not.

You act like this is the first gov't that's implemented pork barrel spending or that has spent money on something that didn't work. Until you get rid of the political system we have in place, these politicians will always spend money on unnecessary things. It is what our gov't is, always has been.

Was there waste by this administration? Absolutely, but there was also money that was spent that helped more people in the long run. Bush had 2 economic tax stimulus plans that did absolutely nothing and cost the country billions. How'd that work out for us? At least the money that was spent was spent by this admin's economic stimulus actually benefitted people.

I don't care who took over office in 08, they were gonna have a difficult task of fixing what was broken. The one way this administration figured would help was to put more money in the hands of the majority and less money in the greedy hands of the rich fucks at the top. They were constantly stonewalled by the GOP.

Call it socialism or whatever you want, but the fact is, the top 3% are not hurting, big businesses are not hurting, companies are making billions and they are outsourcing jobs to foreign countries. FUCK THAT. It should cost every one of those greedy bastards for doing that kind of BS business and using slave labor in other countries. And that's the mistake I feel that this administration has done by allowing it to continue. PENALIZE THEM. They should be worried about hiring Americans. Not foreigners. But hey, that's capitalism, that's the republican way. No way that gets dealt with by anyone in office. The rich are the ones pulling all the strings and making the decisions. Flat tax them? Never gonna happen. They don't want to pay their fair share. I have no problem taxing their asses more, but the GOP has stonewalled any effort there. Don't touch the rich, because somehow, the rest of us will benefit. Unfortunately, we never do....

I don't have a problem with bailing out Europe. Everywhere around the world where countries fail has an affect on us. If China had that same attitude, we'd be fucking bankrupt. How many times have we been bailed out?
