i got banned by monte for disagreeing with him. i didn't call him names, he just didn't like what i was saying and didn't like me from a long time ago (there's no need to rehash that).“A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have."

i am sure a lot of that is because a mod is involved in the argument. most will just sit back and not say anything.
all this arguing is completely unnecessary. don't people get banned from threads for doing this? spark...spark...spark
i will agree with vitturd on this one also (god, this is getting to be a habit ). any posts are good for a site. activity DOES matter to the financial interests of any website. i just don't see what the problem is with people going back and forth about politics, or any subject as long as it's civil. most sports forums have more than just sports sections. as far as mods having to read everything. i have been a mod and it's something you do because you want to do it. no one is making you do it. you can quit any time and just sit back and not worry about anything. like vitturd said, NO ONE is forcing anyone to open a political thread. is it that hard to scan for sports threads? ALL forums activity goes WAY down when it's not football season, at least talking politics keeps some activity on a site. this arguement should have never started IMO.“A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have."

there used to be wayyyyyyy more sports chatter in the past.
the days of 10 page in-games EVERY night seem long ago.
I will also say that I've noticed there was much more activity when the members picks and all sports discussion were not separated.

I totally disagree. As molta stated above, people do not go to a site based on gambling and sports to talk politics. In fact, i think most are turned off by it (Except the 10 who love it). Guys who come here do NOT want to sift through all the political bs to get to the sports and they shouldn't have to.
