Wow!! Large thread … I read every post … I was surprised by some comments from some …

Here is my take on things ... I honestly enjoy this forum ... especially since it seems like everyone is speaking like adults lately ... I like when I see different peeps coming in here and giving their views on subjects ... I like listening to what everyone has to say ... it would be very boring around here, especially during bases, if this forum was not here ... every good gambling site has forums like this one ... and they are MUCH looser on the moderating side than we are ... sometimes you are correct to say when you log into BC all you see are threads in this forum... you are correct when Monte gets on a roll and opens 5-6 threads at a time but damn, it is his site ... but the majority of times you may see 1 or 2 threads on top because that is the only thing going on at the time ...

Break this down by who opens threads in that forum … Since June 1st …

So the administrator of the site opened threads in here 6 times more than anyone else on the forum … he wants/needs conversation on the forum …

Vit, I have read where you took a few shots at me saying that you can not disagree with me without me banning you and I have singled you out … you could not be more wrong if you tried … I have been more fair with you than anyone in this forum … if I banned you from a thread I have banned the other guy … when I have banned you from the site I have allowed you back in every time … but you and every other poster in this forum needs to understand something …I will always be more lenient with the guy who posts plays and mingles on other forums ...

it didn't hit me until you posted the number of threads people start in here that monte is the one causing most of the problems wayne was talking about. a lot of posts in one thread only keeps it at the top, it doesn't take up the whole page.

I may not agree with some of the posters in this forum but they do have a right to post here and to be honest, even though they have not persuaded me in the least bit to accept the Conservative ideology, they certainly have made me more aware and knowledgeable about my own beliefs.

It's baseball season, people are bored and this is an outlet for them. Who gives a rat's ass if two or three guys want to go round and round in here? If you don't like it, stay the fuck out, and most of the time, people do pop in to read what's going on.

And BTW. What does it matter to you what's posted here? You obviously got your site that seems to be pulling people from this site....

first - I disagree with you but I quit arguing because talking to you is useless. If someone doesn't agree with you and has their own thoughts, you swear they are a brainwashed republican who blames obama for everything or they got their ideas from some republican tv, radio, paper, etc. You accuse people of being "brainwashed" when they don't agree with you when it is YOU (there are those damn caps again) who is the "brainwashed" one. My take has always been that if it remains civil, there is no reason to take it down. It does not take much effort to find what you are looking for here.


It is the slow season, once Football comes around, you will see many more sports threads. People bet football way more than baseball.

I haven't read the first 9 pages of this, I don't plan to. Just my opinion, the other day I logged on late, about midnight maybe a little later on a weeknight, 8 of the 15 threads on the homepage were from the R,P&R Forum.

I think the site's focus is becoming more toward Politics and fading away from sports.Whether that's because it's the summer and sports are slow, or because the members are genuinely more interested in Politics than sports, I don't know....

That leaves two threads that have any significance as far as being bumped and cluttering up the site. One is this one and the other is the Dems surge thread. Two threads with activity. Big friggin' deal.....Time to move on.

You're looking at a very selective time period. Since the 1st of July, 45 threads from this forum, and about 60 from All Sports. This forum's threads have about twice as many posts, it looks like. This isn't a forum like the Stocks, or the Photos forum, that gets moderate traffic. It's a main focus of the site.

There's constantly more people looking at this forum than any other besides members picks.

People on this site are going to argue, it's just a fact, you being one of them, me being one of them, Wayne, Vols, Spark, the list goes on. The arguments used to be about sports, which was tolerable, because no matter who likes what team or which guy doesn't know jack about sports, that's all it was, was sports.

But now, the arguments surface in the forum like they used to in All Sports, and I don't think I have to tell you, two guys arguing about Politics, are going to be 10x more heated than they are about Sports.

This forum is the source of more arguments, name calling and vulgar language than any other on the site.

But why is it a bad thing that this forum gets more views than any other? Isn't that what you'd want from your site if you were an owner? More traffic and interest?

If people weren't interested in what's being said, they wouldn't come in here.

Yes, I agree, it's a gambling site. But most gambling sites offer a wide variety of topics. This is a home to a lot of people. I argued with family members all the time. There's nothing wrong with people wanting to argue or debate. It only makes you smarter because when you argue, you know you better not be inaccurate because someone will inevitably call you on it. If things get out of hand, that's where the Mods come in to mediate.

Like I said, I've gleaned a lot through debates and information shared through this forum. I don't think it's going anywhere....
