Ive always wondered and maybe you can enlighten the rest of us as to what you think George W Bush should have done at that moment. Clearly at the time he nor any other person had any way to know the magnitude of what that day was to mean in the history of our country. In my opinion he sat there in front of those children while trying to remain calm and be there for those children. Then afterwards boarded Air Force One to conduct business. Did you want him to jump out of his chair in histerics and start shaking everyone by the shoulders asking what the hell are we going to do? Did you want him to grab Obamas cape and jump out the window and fly to New York City? I guess the real question is would Bush jumping up at that moment and running out of the classroom made you have felt any better about that day or changed any opinion you have of the man. A man of which you appear to have a deep hatred for, all the while never having met and only trusting various media outlets portrayal of him to be what you know of the man. He's just a man, flesh and blood like Obama. Nothing more, nothing less. He's like you and like me, smarter than most of us on this site.

I was never a fan of Bush as President. I personally thought he did a horrible job, just as Obama is doing IMO. With that said, i agree with this 100%

Was any of this "surplus" the result of monies received b/c of an internet bubble? How about money from fraudulent company activity? (ie Enron)

If (butch) is charging that amount, AND people are willing to pay that amount, isn't that capitalism at it's finest? The free market determining whether or not you want to see her/him? You are free to pay that money and go, or free to save the money and not go. You are against that?

Do you t hink there was ANY terrorist buildup under previous administrations? Surely you can't believe that the whole plot of 9/11 was organized exclusively on Bush's watch can you? Do you t hink the terrorist networks were ever emboldened by previous attacks under other administrations?

Do you think the current admin's spending is lowering o*--ur increasing our financial solvency?,even as investment is needed in our economy and President Bush spent like a drunken sailor.

Should he have jumped up in hysterics? No. However as he gets whispered to him that we are under attack he could calmly stand up and remove himself from the classroom. I would think he was referring to the tough decisions to increase the size of our deficit (even with Bush inheriting a surplus) to unsustainable levels, or escalating a war that now tops 1000 deaths (mostly in 2010..who was Prez then?), or wasting a year for a HC law that is a bait and switch when it comes to revenues/fees/taxes of 10 years for 6 years worth of services (how much will the bill be when illegals get amnesty?), to ramming a stimulus package down the throats at a 1 trillion dollar cost promising unemployment to not crack 8% (think it's down to 9.9% now), to calling the police dept's actions "stupid" b/c his black buddy was acting like an ass, to throwing his support behing political loser after loser? Forgot to add sitting with a thumb up his ass while his Interior Dept and admin watch one of the worst, if not the worst, oil disaster.
