I think his decision to go into Iraq was WRONG, and also feel he made many other critical mistakes that cost this country dearly.

But you used the word "destroyed", he didnt destroy this country, that is ludicrous to even use that word. Defintion of the word " do away with, cause the destruction of or the undoing of". America is not done away with, and we are not undone, and if we are any of that, it wasnt soley done by GWB!

I am not a fan of Obama, nor was I a fan of GWB. Barack will have his 4 years and I will OBJECTIVELY see the job done and form my own opinion. I dont think he has the ability to DESTROY America all by himself, nor do I think GWB did or had the ability to do so.

Compared to where we were when he was elected to where we were when he left. Destroyed is a fair word. I know the rep talking point is we were headed for a recession when bush took office.

If u look at our image in the world, economically, military, foreign relations all those are much worse because of gw bush. In the political sense the word" destroyed" I believe is accurate. Did he destroy us being a free society, no, of course not.

Just based on memory we had the wtc bombing under clinton and I believe it was 10 fatalities. The uss cole was an attack but not on us soil. I guess there was those 2 but I don't think they match the magnitude of attacks on gw bush

Ive always wondered and maybe you can enlighten the rest of us as to what you think George W Bush should have done at that moment. Clearly at the time he nor any other person had any way to know the magnitude of what that day was to mean in the history of our country. In my opinion he sat there in front of those children while trying to remain calm and be there for those children. Then afterwards boarded Air Force One to conduct business. Did you want him to jump out of his chair in histerics and start shaking everyone by the shoulders asking what the hell are we going to do? Did you want him to grab Obamas cape and jump out the window and fly to New York City? I guess the real question is would Bush jumping up at that moment and running out of the classroom made you have felt any better about that day or changed any opinion you have of the man. A man of which you appear to have a deep hatred for, all the while never having met and only trusting various media outlets portrayal of him to be what you know of the man. He's just a man, flesh and blood like Obama. Nothing more, nothing less. He's like you and like me, smarter than most of us on this site.
