    can you please answer this
I dont know if he did or not. Find me a "credible" news source that quotes him. All I found was EVERY Conservative site saying he said it. SHow me the QUOTE Bryan. Don't believe everything you're fed in your email.

Read the story I posted. It stated that in 2008, economists were already predicting unemployment rates to go over 8%.

Obama isn't so dumb to to make such a claim. Maybe he hoped it wouldn't. But you WILL NOT find a credible source that quotes him. POST IT HERE IF YOU DO!

He has been in office 10 months, there is NO WAY in hell he was going to stop the fall of this economy in 10 months. NO WAY. PERIOD!

This shit mess we are in because of the war and gas prices soaring during Bush will take years to correct. Not months. Doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure that out....

Take that to the bank kid
The biggest clown to sit in the oval office during my lifetime was Peanut Farmer, Carter. This clown we have in office now will surpass Carter.

Last November I had many friends and relatives spewing lots of BS how we needed change, how Obama was the voice of change blah blah blah. How come I don't hear a peep out of them anymore?

Rome wasn't built in a day. You've given him a whopping 10 months before you're completely indicted him. Any business savvy economist will tell you this economy wasn't going to be fixed anytime soon. Guess we'll find out in the next 3 years, cuz he's not going anywhere.

So far, besides unemployment, the economy has turned slightly for the better and gas prices have leveled off.

Where were you sitting on March 20, 2003? Probably the same place 90+% of Americans were sitting. On their coaches watching the invasion of Iraq. CHEERING! It's ironic how no one was complaining when completed the invasion in less than 6 weeks. But you like so many Americans are weak. When the going gets tough you wanna quit.

Gas prices have leveled off??? From what? They're $1 per gallon from last year prior to the election. In the past few weeks they've gone up about 30-40 cents per gallon. How's that for leveled off.

Rome wasn't built in a day. But let's be serious. This guy shouldn't be president in the first place. He has limited experience. He was elected for one reason and one reason only. If you deny that you're full of shit.

I wasn't cheering because I knew the war was going to cost us dearly. I'm by no means an economist, but the simple fact to me is, the trillions that the war has cost this country, along with $5 gas prices, people stopped going out, stopped spending money, stopped buying big cars, car companies going into the tank, banks over lending to people for houses they gave up because they couldn't afford them, all led to this mess. It's pretty obvious how we got here....

What's not so obvious is how we get out of it. So far, I've seen a slow recovery. It's all we were going to get no matter who took office.

No way. Gas pricing avg never went below $1.50. It had a short down tick and has been level for the most part in the $2 range. In late 2005 and 2006, Congress threatened to pump oil from fields that oil companies weren't pumping, at that point they went down for a time. Bush was a lame duck during that time as well. 30 to 40 cents fluctuation is normal.

Kaz, I agree with you on most of what you are saying. It is early.

I would point out that Obama's votes as a US Senator (including the bank and insurance bailouts) make him complicit in many of the financial problems we are having now. As you know, the House and Senate write the bills, and the president signs them into law.

Even though his voting record is limited, it was not as fiscally responsible as many would lead you to believe. To say that he is "cleaning up the mess of a previous administration" is a half truth. The other half (Senate and House) should be held just as accountable. I think the public is tired of hearing excuses

By the way, I voted for him a year ago.
