I generally don't get too involved in the rant forums but I voted yes because of what was said in the above threads.

If you read all the threads, which I just did and haven't done in a LONG time, the majority of the threads are ones who want the rant forum back. Apparently the ones who don't want it back didn't feel it was that important to them to comment. The ones who voted yes apparently do feel its important and therefore, you have all the comments from the YES voters.

My point is that those who voted NO will stay out anyway. Those who voted YES will be in and "hopefully" abide by the rules of the mods.

I might never comment in the rant forum if it is opened up, but that is my choice. Let the ones who want it, have it. Even if I never comment, it does always make for "interesting" reading.

Just my opinion, but I feel regardless of the vote, open the forum and let those who want to be in there, be in there. If they don't, they won't.

And if I want to call JC a gay tan pubeless sissy, I will and what forum I do it in won't matter !!

Not really, in fact, since there is no where to talk politics, it gets mixed in to other forums.

If the rules are spelled out about not letting it go into other forums there would not be a problem. Easy to ban someone for breaking that rule.

We know this is your site but Wayne and I are trying to get more people involved ... and you are not going to do it in ALL SPORTS ... have you looked at some of the comments in here lately??? ...Comments like how dead it has been ... Good Lucks and PICKS FOR THE DAY are not doing it ... You have to give them a reason to be here ... and only here ...because we have everything here ... no need to go anywhere else ...

Well, there are plenty of reasons for this.

1. Economy- people dont have money to gamble
2. People lose more than they win
3. Everything in life gets old.. When you do the samething everyday you get bored of it. (Reread CoffeeTime for those who have not read it)


You are concerned of the name calling ... I will agree with you there ... we need rules before we allow the forum back in here ... any name calling will not be allowed .. you can express your feelings as strong as you like but you can not slander or call another member any names ..
If we can not ban them from the thread we will ban them for the day from the entire site ..

We are adults Monte ... you need to allow them to speak about any subject they want ... as long as they have respect for the site ...
