Oh right. Because the Republican party is so moral? Should we list how many stinking Republican's have been caught in illicit sex acts? How about the King himself? Rush Limbaugh? Oh that's right, the drug addicted hypocrite......

Let's just ignore the fact that Bush declared war on Iraq and the thousands of innocent civilian's and children that have been slaughtered. That's the moral party you voted for.

As usual Flare, those who live in glass houses.....

Shift the argument, the point was their are poor pro-life moral people, get it??

Repubs make mistakes so that makes killing the unborn children Ok, right???

Your response: Well it's legal in America according to the lawmakers.

        Typical.

Guess KB is your chimp tonight.

That's correct. It is legal. It IS a woman's choice, as it should be. That answered it for me. And will always be the answer for me.

Now, since you dodged my question. Republican's are hypocrites and always have been. They claim to be the moral party and yet there are so many things that are immoral about them. Keep voting for hypocrites......

I am pro life as well but that doesnt mean because I am pro life that I vote Republican.

Also what do you mean that Repuclicans stand for America? Can you tell me why do you vote Republican? What do they do for you and yours that makes them stand out from the other party?

How does the Republican party help average Americans?

I am a democrat because I was raised in a union family and plenty in my family work in the education field and the both of these are supported by the democratic party is terms of funding and policy.

Many people in my community have made livings working for the Big 3 and the Democratic party always funds education more on all levels.

That doesnt mean that unions can do no wrong and that doesnt mean that public education doesnt have its faults but these are major issues to me and the Democratic party caters better to these things.

I can go on and on about why I support the Democratic party but I would like to know why you support the Republicans? Again both parties have their faults but when it comes to average Americans isnt the Democratic party the way to go?

When you say pro life/pro choice I dont understand what that means.....there are abortion clinics now while Bush has been in office and I dont recall anymore clinics when Clinton was in office so I dont think I undertsand the arguement of how this pertains to Hispanics.

mcp you and kaz are two of the most open-minded individuals on here and I have the utmost respect for you 2. Thanks for telling it like it is and not doing what seems to be the most fashionable thing to do. I would find it very hard in this climate to defend and or support the current administration in office. Wow what would these geniuses say if obama or hillary were in office right now after the constant shit storm this buffoon has created in eight years. Do you think a guy like flare, sinatra, jc or kb would be constantly on here defending either of them or planning on voting for the next democrat?

THAT OLD SAYING COMES TO MIND PEOPLE HATE TO ADMIT THEYRE WRONG. AND ILL GUARANTEE THESE EISTEINS VOTED FOR BUSH BOTH TIMES SO OF COURSE TO SAY HE IS A FAILURE TO THEM WOULD ADMIT THAT THEY FUCKED UP.

keep up the good posts and thank both of you.

The smart way to keep people passive and obedient is to strictly limit the spectrum of acceptable opinion, but allow very lively debate within that spectrum - even encourage the more critical and dissident views. That gives people the sense that there's free thinking going on, while all the time the presuppositions of the system are being reinforced by the limits put on the range of the debate.

Not to change the subject, but unions are a large reason why so many major industries (auto, airlines) are going belly up. Unions were definitely needed many, many years ago when they were first set up, but the have lost their focus. They are no longer their just to protect employees, but to get as much as they can. They have bitten off the hand the feeds them. I know several guys that as baggage handlers that were making $80k a year. Now, I'm not bagging (pun intended) on luggage workers, but that is a $25k a year job, not three times. We have unions to thank for that. Pilots, same thing. I've got friends whose dads are pilots and they were making $300k a year. The plans fucking fly themselves nowadays (the pilots even tell me that). They deserve a nice check, but $300k? Unions are a huge reason for the downfall of the auto industry as well. There is simply no accountability anymore b/c you can't fire anyone. Sorry...I digress.
