We enjoy more executions, longer sentences, bigger prisons, less social programs for those in need while the cost of health care and higher education rises beyond family means; and of course more fear, hate, and war. I'm not happy with our health care system and I couldn't even tell you the last time I used it. I've been paying into it though for 4 years. While never using my health care coverage if I go see the doctor I have to pay money to him. Why? I've been paying your ass for 4 years, where did my money go? Oh, it's paying for everyone else that is using the system. You see, we are paying for it, were just not getting it. The big part of the problem is that insurance is the biggest scam going on in this Country today. We could have the best health care system in the World, but were all about making a buck here. If I'm paying into a system like I am now, and if I have to go to the hospital or see a doctor, and it's not going to cost me anymore than I'm paying now. I'm all for that! No co-pay and covers everything!

Universal health care in other countries is a nightmare!! How would you like to make a doctor's appointment for something that's hurting you, and they tell you the earliest they can see you is 6 months!!???? THAT'S what's happening in other countries. Then, since the costs are regulated, the good doctors are leaving for other practices. They cannot simply charge what they are worth, so they leave. What you get is the run-of-the mill G.Ps. Is THAT who you want to go to for a serious issue? Not me. Universal healthcare run by the government would be a nightmare, and an end to medical care as we know it. And the costs are astronomical, as is everything the government handles themselves. Say "NO" to universal healthcare!!

The insurance companies, pharmaceuticals and doctors are making billions while many are without care....I am all for capitalism but not when it comes to peoples well being. Lets try and not make the well being of our citizens into a fight for the almighty dollar.....it works in other places so I am sure we can make it work here.....as with anything new there will be kinks but c'mon lets get rid of the for profit approach when it concerns people's lives and health.
