Actually I'm a Libertarian if you care for labels. I'm actually not a big fan of Bush, but do agree with the decision to go to war, and still do. I don't care for Bush b/c of all the spending and the size of government, but I digress.

War ain't supposed to be easy, and while I pray for each and everyone of our soldiers that have paid the ultimate price, the battle is a worthwhile battle. You can't deny the fact that we haven't had another MAJOR attack on US soil since 9/11, and that is prety damn remarkable. If we did nothing in response to 9/11, I can guarantee we would have been hit again.

Hmmmm Harold Bush lays out a well written supporting argument and that is your comeback? The talking points are a weak argument against what Harold put up.

To correlate attacking Iraq with 9/11 is ludicrous....its not as if we were getting bombed every other day and since we invaded Iraq we are now safe.....Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11...did they? So if your arguement is valid that means that we could have invaded China and hence would be safer because of it since there have been no other attacks?

I do not care for George Bush because he doesn't care for the interest of the average American like myself and most others and took us into Iraq under the idea of false premise.

You dont ever hear anyone complaining about the use of force in Afghanistan do you? NO....because thats where AlQuaida was known to hide and train and they needed to be displaced.

Truth is most American casualties have taken place in Iraq and that country had nothing to do with 9/11 but Bush decided to tie them together in order to get in there which was his plan with or without 9/11.....him and his administration had other motives to invade Iraq and it had nothing to do with our safety...do not mix the 2

What does that even mean? Can you give me specifics of how Bush doesn't care about the average American?

As far as the "false premise" argument, it holds no water. False premise means lie, and you have no proof of that. The intelligence was wrong, so the only thing Bush was wrong on was believing the intelligence. Many, many others publicly stated their belief in WMD. There is no question ALL of them were wrong, not just Bush. A few examples.

"(W)e need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime. We all know the litany of his offenses. He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation. ...And now he is miscalculating Americas response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction. That is why the world, through the United Nations Security Council, has spoken with one voice, demanding that Iraq disclose its weapons programs and disarm. So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real, but it is not new. It has been with us since the end of the Persian Gulf War." -- John Kerry, Jan 23, 2003

"I will be voting to give the president of the United States the authority to use force - if necessary - to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security." -- John F. Kerry, Oct 2002

"Iraq made commitments after the Gulf War to completely dismantle all weapons of mass destruction, and unfortunately, Iraq has not lived up to its agreement." -- Barbara Boxer, November 8, 2002

"The community of nations may see more and more of the very kind of threat Iraq poses now: a rogue state with weapons of mass destruction, ready to use them or provide them to terrorists. If we fail to respond today, Saddam and all those who would follow in his footsteps will be emboldened tomorrow." -- Bill Clinton in 1998

"I am absolutely convinced that there are weapons...I saw evidence back in 1998 when we would see the inspectors being barred from gaining entry into a warehouse for three hours with trucks rolling up and then moving those trucks out." -- Clinton's Secretary of Defense William Cohen in April of 2003

I could give you as many more quotes as you would like.

Harold - the silence is deafing.

No wise comebacks yet, hard to refute your presentation of the facts. Good work.

They were wrong too....Democrats and Republicans alike...does that make it right? As far as the false premise and the lies thats exactly what it was and if anyone decided to speak up against this their lives would be ruined as well i.e Valerie Plane and her husband.

If George Bush gave a rats ass about the average American then he wouldnt stand for one service person losing their life in this senseless charade we call a war let alone 4000.

This isnt a bipartisan issue as you would like to make it by showing me Democratic quotes in support of the war.....stop doing it....its these types of antics that are dividing this country instead of uniting it

The simple answer is: there is no national health care system for the country because the constitution does not grant that power to the federal government, and all issues not in it are delagated to the states.

Bottom line..... You think killing 600,000 innocent civilians in Iraq, and bankrupting the country 5 times over, to go bomb the hell out of another country full of brown people, is avenging 9-11....They are destroying CIA tapes... They have been manipulating the intelligence...Don't ya get it?..... You really are infromed, my man...

Oh yeah, since you're a "libertarian", you don't believe in any workers rights or any protection of the environment from industry.............................Do you suck Satin's cock?.... I won't argue with a selfish piece of work like you....... Cut and paste, you win.

I think pushing HSA's harder is a step in the right direction. Pre-tax dollars can go into an account to cover medical expenses, while still having very good coverage. Premiums are MUCH lower, and cover the same as other policies. Deductible's are higher but are offset with lower premiums. Healthier people will now have a portable HSA that will grow b/c they wouldn't need as much usage, while people with more chronic needs are being covered just fine.

And someone was bitchng about paying into health insurance and not using it. Well the same applies to car insurance right? If you just want to pay as you go, then get rid of the insurance and pay for any liability out of pocket. Again, tough to have it both ways.
