It's that sentence that will be the determing factor in a lawsuit. At ESPN.com Peter Gammons and Several other writers post their articles in the "IN" section of the site and you have to pay to read them and I guarantee you if you start posting those in forums and ESPN finds out they would sue and I bet they would win. They are giving their opinions on sports and you are paying to find out what they think will happen, not much difference except most gamblers all believe they can cap better than a pay service, they are easy to hate because of some of the scumbags that make their living by scamming gamblers. There are very hard working cappers in this world as wel, some free and some pay. Just because someone charges for their service does not mean they are bad or a scam. I hate that this has caused Monte and BC any trouble, I have been coming here for a long time and I enjoy the site, this site will be fine without the service play thread. It's the people that make this place what it is, not the info!

Regardless of whether services would win a suit, or not, do you guys realize what Monte would have to pay, in legal fees, to defend a suit like that? Whether the services have a basis for a lawsuit, or not, his legal bill would be astronomical.

I see your point. My counter to that would be why couldnt the owners of all these forums get together and fight the scam services out there??? Someone already offered their legal services free of charge. I'm no legal expert but IMO this thread wouldnt stand a chance in court. I'd be willing to bet that it would get throw out of court rather quickly and the expenses would be at a minimum.

ESPN IN opinions are totally different. Not anything to do with gambling on a sport. Gambling is illegal in the US except nevada. The jim fiests of the world are simply offering an opinion and why that info cannot be posted freely is beyond me. I dont even follow the service thread but IMO it should continue to be here and if Monte closes it because of fear thats really sad.

I used to be a slave to this service thread, checking it daily to see who the "top cappers" were on. However, now that I've been a member of this site for long enough I have seen that none of the services give consistent winners the way that some of the top cappers on this site do. Wayne, Chuck, Spark and several others (many others actually) give better plays than any service, and they do it for free.

While it is a shame that the service thread will no longer be a part of this site, there are still many places on here to get WINNING plays.
