Sebastian is quite well known in the Connecticut and in thewestern Mass area, where I reside.
It is true that he does not have the household name recognition of Jim Feist, Jack Price(yuck), Stu Feiner(double yuck), Joh nny Demarco(triple yuck) or some others, but then again he is FAR superior to any of those clowns and in general better than the great majority of cappers.

Just remember guys that only one other guy got engaged on the tour;it is not that easy to get to know someone from ANY culture in a week or so well enough to get engaged.
I was lucky because I corresponded with her for a while before the tour and spent a lot of time with her (well several says anyways lol) when tour first began.
Personally I think in my case it was divine interevtion.
Get this and this is no lie: her code name on MSN is Rosemaria715;so what you say? Well, it just so happens that 7/15(July 15 in my birthday). Now what are the chances that she would have chosen those 3 numbersout of all the possible combinations before she even knew me?
In all honesty ,I asked her about that and she said the 15 is for her birthday which also falls on the 15th(November) and the 7 because it is considered a lucky number.
Still-VERY eerie!

The thought of pursuing a Russian lady did not cross my mind once when I started my venture.
I will admit some of them are quite attractive, but from my perspective Latin ladies are known to be very warm, loving and caring, etc., the countries are much closer by and it is a heck of a lot cheaper to go to there.
Obviously I am somewhat biased because I found a lovely lady and speak some Spanish as opposed to Russian of which I speak none.
On the other hand there must be some fundamental reason why many men prefer Russian ladies(even at Foreign Affair there is great emphasis put on the Russian tours).
Perhaps I have watched too many old James Bond movies and simply don't trust Russian ladies. lol

Now comes the wait and patience(hopefully not too long);I finally sent the immigration package in today;a longer than expected wait from my bank for needed verifications is the only reason the package didn't go out at the end of last week.
I try to email her something every day about my day(of course I don't tell her about the betting-not yet anyways;if she doesn't like it, well I will have to cut back with the time devoted to it;that is one of the things which hurt my first marriage) and call a couple of times a week and of course await her return emails.
I must say that since June,from the dating different websites(Mate 1 and Latinamerciancupids) to the Foreign Affair Tour, I have been obsessed with this venture and gambling was pushed to the backburner.
Actually, at this point in my life, I wish to keep betting at the present level and not become obsessed with it like I have been in the past.
Rosa Maria is a terrific lady, and my first obligation is to her and to do everything in my power to make the relationship work.
Maybe I shouldn't be saying all of this to all of you, but it makes me feel good to write and I hope you all understand.
Even though as most of you know, I like to laugh and try to make others do so also, there is a serious side to me also. In essence, I guess I am simply trying to affirm to myself that watching sports, betting on games and of course winning are great but cannot and will not ever take the place of a successful relationship with a lady.
I am sure that a lot of you can relate to what I said.

I got rattled yesterday when I should not have.
Here is what happened:
Rosa Maria(my fiancee) and I tried instant messaging on yahoo last night, the reason being that because of the language barrier(my spanish is ok but not spectacular and Rosa knows little English) our phone conversations were taking too long.
Anyways, we chatted via instant messenger quite successfully for a couple of hours yesterday(I used the free translation site to translate her Spanish into English and used the site to translate my English to Spanish when I was not sure of how to say the phrase or sentence in Spanish).
Anyways, at the end of conversation(or at least what I thought was the end), we said goodbye and exchanged pleasantries.
Now is where the "fun" begins.
Several minutes later not sure if she was still there or not, I said something kind of sweet to her.
Then the person who I thought was Rosa(same email) said that she had to tell me something that she han't told me before.
First she said I really wasn't her type and then went on to say that she was really alesbian but didn't want to tell me until now and for me NOT to tell anyone.
Well, my first reaction bordered on paranoia, and as Gary Thorne said in the 1986 World Series I was sitting there in stunned disbelief.
Admittedly, I should have been thinking clearer and realized that she wouldn't go to all of the trouble of joining Foreign Affair(the matchmaking service), spending so much time with me, having me meet her family and tell me on the INTERNET that she was a lesbian.
Then impulsively I said to "Rosa" we have to talk as this is serious stuff, and said that I would call her at home later(the reason being that I was now thiking maybe this was a hoax).
She agreed to this and continued to say it was true and not to tell anyone.
I then came to my senses, and told "Rosa" that I didn't believe her, and that She(the lady (it might even have been a guy) was a sick person with a bad sense of humor and needed help.
After a while(allowing the real Rosa to arrive home), I called and told her about it;she laughed and said of course wasn't true amd that somehow someone had taken over her private email address after she left. Boy was I relieved.
I know, I know, I should haven't been concerned in the first place, but you know, sometimes when you have your heart and mind set on something, and any little thing goes awry, it can upset you(or in this instance, me).
In retrospect I learned that before jumping to conclusions if something like this should happen to me again, it would be better to simply stop and think and not get upset.
I am still confused though as to how the other person "took over" the conversation and to why any person would be so mean in intent.

As for Spanish its hard to correspond with them when they don't understand English. As I have a few and they can't speak very much English at all.
