wow thats sad. your company must be in trouble if they cant clear payroll checks. I've heard of companies bouncing checks owed to vendors but never payroll. Question, if your check bounced why did you come to work today??? Also does your company have a union??

I didnt check my bank until i got to work this morning. I had a feeling this was gonna happen because i am good friends with the bookeeper and the company acount has been in the red the past couple weeks. It was just a matter of time before the bank stopped letting things go through. We are supposed to get paid again tommorrow

Quite a few did, but it was like 2 days ago. I deposited mine last week and the checks cleared into my account. The bank took it back out last night.

i can also assume you got charged a fee for NSF check correct? Your company should make good on that fee as well. If i was you i wouldnt stay there. I'd leave now and not come back until you get a check that clears. I mean whats the point of working if your not gonna get paid?

i'd be more than alittle worried RJ. I mean you must know. Companies never ever bounce payroll checks. Unless it was a bank error. typically most companies have separate funds dedicated for payroll. Payroll gets paid 1st then company expenses that are owed to vendors get paid next. Jeff if what your saying is true, which i believe you, IMO your company is as good as dead. Leave now and start looking for a different job.

Trust me it is in trouble, i knew this was gonna hapeen. I know how much money is in the company account or should i say lack of money. You guys can call me griffey because i am going to be looking for a job soon!
