3 men caught in northwest Oklahoma City for attempted robbery

Police said one man lost consciousness while laughing while the other broke his leg jumping a fence Monday morning during an attempted robbery at a northwest Oklahoma City sporting complex.

Police arrested three men wanted in connection with an attempted robbery at a northwest Oklahoma City sporting complex.

Master Sgt. Gary Knight said a man was outside the complex in the 5500 block of NW 23 about 2:30 a.m. Monday when he was approached by three men. Knight said two of the men had guns and demanded cash from the victim, who then ran and tried to hurdle a 12 inch high fence and failed. The victim was then taken to OKC memorial hospital with a broken leg.

The three assailants were arrested when they couldn't flee cause they were laughing so hard.

Anyone with information on why this man can't clear a 12 inch fence is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (405) 235-7300.
