I agree. At this point these are CLEARY the top two teams.

I really don't need to see SoS or any of that to know that I do not want to see OSU vaunted 103rd ranked defense (giving up 445 yards of offense a game) who let up who let up 34 to UL-Laf, 33 to Tulsa, 26 to Texas, 45 to Kansas St and 37 to Iowa St. This is why people say LSU will beat them by 2+TDs.

So what I see LSU and Alabama are 1 and 2 and deserve to be in the game.

I actually don't think OSU would provide the best match-up to LSU outside of Alabama. Teams that I think have less warts than OSU that would give LSU a better game are: Stanford, Oregon, Wisconsin and Maybe Boise St (although there schedule TOTALLY inflates their statistics, and outside of cathcing Georgia and game 1 they lost to TCU their only other legit foe).

Notice the word "think" used a lot here. This is all opinion upon what I saw watching these teams. Unfortunately it is either that or computer rankings that we are left with unless there are playoffs.

It still keeps the traditional bowl structure, keeps the timeline, allows other teams to still fight in the regular season, gives us a true champion from the top 8 teams, is similar to the NIT/NCAA BB, etc.. And there would be a lot more people at the Beef o Brady bowl!!

I agree jc. I think lsu would love to play okie st. The physical play of lsu would make okie st scream uncle by halftime. The only team that could match lsu in that area is bama.

Do they have the correct 2 teams, maybe, but one thing I do agree with is I don't root for teams from my conference. That's like Red Sox fans hoping the Yankees win the World Series cause they are from the same Division, Viking fans hoping the Packers win the Super Bowl, etc.

My 2 Favorite Teams are the Fighting Sioux (UND) and whoever is playing the Bison (NDSU). I really don't get loving all the teams in your conference unless you're playing them. Maybe I'm just a bitter person.
