Gizmo the Phillies have nothing to play for nor have for two weeks. I doubt their play the last two weeks will affect them in the postseason. It would also figure the Yanks would lay down like dogs last night against the Rays and than come back with their lineup tonight. I wouldn't completely be sure they don't care who gets into the playoffs

I think Boston will struggle to win 1 of these games. All their pitching has been bad. All of it and the Yankees will probably light them up. Everything i'm hearing though says they may not even get the game in tonight because of rain forcasted all night.

The Phils have literally cost me about five 5* plays in the last 7 days. I shouldn't have but i kept chasing thinking 1 night one of their pitchers would shut their opponent down and score a few runs. It just hasn't happened. I don't think it is a good thing to be slumping right now to be honest. If i was a Phils fan, i wouldn't like it.

Well I agree totally with Waynes post finally and totally disagree with Diesel.

This isnt a local softball league where u call people to show up when ur best guys cant make it this is MLB baseball. Its not like the Phillies are sitting there starters.They are without Howard now for a few games because he was hurt other than that they have had everyone in there.So you cant think the players are saying lets go 0-4 and lose because we have nothing to play for. These guys want to get every hit and RBI and Run scored possible because it could mean a raise or new contract.How happy do you think the starters would be if the batters were not trying.

Your wrong again diesel,other than a select few games when you play your rival,opening day,the last few weeks of the season when on playoff run thats about the only time its different.I would say 70% of the time or higher the players dont even know who they play or where they are going next unless they like going somewhere or someone in a particular city.

So the way you put it Baltimore or the Mets or the Marlins or the Nationals are playing with more intensity than Boston,Stl,Atl or Philly.I would think those other teams have nothing to play for.

So philly losses because they have nothing to play for but you would say Boston and Stl or AtlanTa are playing bad.

Everyone tries every time they are out there ,no one tries to get out or give up hits or make errors.Its called a slump and Philly is in one.
