Yes, a guy who will never sniff the HOF. Look at the Offensive WR's, RB's, TE's and lineman that surrounded Montana, Kelly, Bradshaw, Young, Manning and several others. Is there one HOF player on offense in any of those SB winning teams besides Brady?

I wouldnt have known him Wayne if he didnt play for Louisville, even you didnt mention him and he tied a SB record for catches with 11 tying Jerry freaking Rice.

Branch is still in the league, but HOF, not even close.

Still loved the dude, in college that cat wouldnt drop anything near him. Love Harry Douglas too, kid isnt scared at a buck 80 to go across the middle

Oh no, i liked Branch too but i was throwing it out there as a question, not assuming a Louisville guy would answer!

Seriously though jc, can you name another player on offense from any of those 3 SB winning teams that will be a HOF player though? I can't ........

They were in the AFC East and i watched a lot of them. That simply isn't true. They were pretty good for a time when they were the Killer B's my friend.

                  No, I cant.

If I wasnt from Louisvill I wouldnt have know Branch.

Brady has done a lot with very little. Elway had to have TD, Aikmen needed Emmit and Irving. Montana had Rice, Bradshaw had everyone!

Brady won 3 SB's greek with PPG Defenses that were ranked 17th, 17th and 1st

Marino played 17 years and twice he had the number 1 ppg defense in the League and 11 out of those 17 years he played with a defense that was 17th or BETTER in ppg allowed.

Saying Marino played his career with a bad defense is one of the biggest jokes i have ever heard and people still try to use it as a crutch when arguing for Marino. It simply ISN'T true.

Bottom line was simple. Marino NEVER got it done.

It is amazing really. Seriously, i guarantee nobody can name them without looking them up. Antwoin Smith at RB and Troy Brown at WR? I don't even remember the other guys in the 1st 2 SB's. I know Dillon was there for the 3rd and who were the WR's with him? Anybody?? People talk about Moss like he was there for them and he wasn't. The 1st year he was in NE and Brady had a WR for the 1st time in his career, Brady and Moss reset the record books at their positions. They were the 1st team to complete a (16-0) season and they had the most prolific offense in NFL History. Whether you like Brady or not, you would be a fool to exclude him from the list. I don't want to hear about Belichick being the reason either because he was an awful coach his whole career until Brady came along to make him look great!
                          where is branch now?

Not taking anything away from NE, but I think there offense works better with no name receivers. Moss the exception, but he is a different player than he was 10 years ago. I actually think if Brady would have had a Moss or T.O. in his prime, he'd have 0 rings as crazy as that sounds. Good precision route runners that are tough, i.e. Welker, thrive in this offense and not having to listen to anyone bitch about not getting the ball is what has given NE so much success imo.

I have to disagree kb. I've never seen Randy bitch once since coming here and i don't see a downside to having him. Yes, they lost a SB with Randy in his 1st year here but they also broke a ton of records and went 16-0 with him. The next season Brady got hurt in the 1st qtr of the season. I think Brady would have 4 rings cuz they lost 1 AFC title game at Indy in which they blew a big league and none of the no name receivers could catch a ball in the 2nd half. They had like 8 drops and one was a wide open TD. Welker and/or Moss would not have done that and they would have won that game with those guys. Moss has been nothing short of a saint here whether he catches 2 balls or 10. It doesn't even seem like the same guy in Minny or Oakland. Even without Brady last year, his comments were always 100% positive.
