Well, you were right, and I was wrong.Originally posted by flarendep1 View PostJC,
I have met Johnny U - he was a next door neighbor to my wifes Uncle. It was at is duaghter's (wifes cousin) wedding.
Great guy, very down to earth. He was smaller than I imagined cause as a kid he was one of my heroes. His one hand was crippled from injuries.
There is another statue of him right outside Ravens stadium.
BTW, I saw you had a tough day yesterday, bring it back this week. You had to admire how the Ravens shut down Denver, told you not to go down with Denver
There is your feedback

Brett Favre has been surrounded by mediocre receivers his whole career.Originally posted by musclemann View PostJust about right. He has been damn fortunate to play on some good teams with good players.
Billy Schroeder??
Antonio Freeman??
Robert Brooks??
These guys were the leading receivers on his team in many years.
If he had a randy Moss, jerry Rice or equivalent player his numbers would be even gaudier.
I put him about fifth behind Montana, Unitas, Marino and maybe a couple others

A guy at #1 with no ring and Warren Moon on a list that Brady didn't make? You are on crack!

Marino had a HOF coach that couldn't win with him yet won without him, 2 premier WR's and a defense called the "Killer B's" who were not that bad at all. Marino couldn't EVER get it done, period. Zero rings prove it.Originally posted by GOLDENGREEK View PostMarino was the better QB
If Marino played to the age of 86 like Favre he would still have the recordLast edited by wayne1218; 11-03-2009, 06:02 PM.

I agree about to each their own but some people and their hatred towards certain players make out lists that have them looking absolutely FOOLISH.

I agree, i am by no means a Pat fan, but Tom Brady is the shit.
Troy Brown and the other cast of decent but not great WR and virtually never a running game, and look at that cat and how many rings he is sporting.
Brady is definitley in my top 10, and if the game was on the line and i needed one drive with time running out. Give me Montana and Brady.Questions, comments, complaints:

Bradshaw had awesome talent around him, and I mean awesome. But he did produce with that talent.
Didnt hurt to have the Steele curtain always giving you the ball in good field position either.Questions, comments, complaints:

Fouts, Kelly, and Moon dont make my top 10. No rings and Kelly had some real talent around him, plus he got 4 shots at a ring.Originally posted by wayne1218 View PostSeriously, he has Fouts ahead of Joe Montana. Did Fouts ever beat Montana? What a joke!

Even NE fans struggle to name the WR's and RB's on the 3 SB winning teams. You can't find a guy with 2 or 3 rings with LESS talent around him on offense. It is amazing really. Seriously, i guarantee nobody can name them without looking them up. Antwoin Smith at RB and Troy Brown at WR? I don't even remember the other guys in the 1st 2 SB's. I know Dillon was there for the 3rd and who were the WR's with him? Anybody?? People talk about Moss like he was there for them and he wasn't. The 1st year he was in NE and Brady had a WR for the 1st time in his career, Brady and Moss reset the record books at their positions. They were the 1st team to complete a (16-0) season and they had the most prolific offense in NFL History. Whether you like Brady or not, you would be a fool to exclude him from the list. I don't want to hear about Belichick being the reason either because he was an awful coach his whole career until Brady came along to make him look great!Originally posted by jcindaville View PostI agree, i am by no means a Pat fan, but Tom Brady is the shit.

I can name one WR for the Pats
Tony Deion Branch, Jr. (born, July 18, 1979, in Albany, Georgia) (Resides in Carmel, Indiana) is an American football wide receiver who currently plays for the Seattle Seahawks of the NFL. He is 5'9" and 193 pounds and was picked by New England in the second round of the 2002 NFL Draft out of the University of Louisville. Branch was named the Most Valuable Player of Super Bowl XXXIX on February 6, 2005,
