Man, I rarely, if ever get involved in these gentlemen disagreements, but I wouldn't have taken the comment the wrong way.

I took it as kind of a slap at nothing to do instead of a slap at anyone in particular. As a matter of fact, he said the fans and people were "down to earth" .

"Nothing to do" can be a compliment to people. I like the slow and steady lifestyle personally. Like my old man used to say, "its not what you say, but how you say it". Since we couldn't hear granmama say it, I would cut him some slack.

Just an unbiased third party opinion.

I'm still at a loss as to why you are so overly sensitive about someone's comments about a fucking state. You take it personally as if he said something about one of you children. You're the one with the chip on their shoulder.

I've lived in the south for 13 years. I get teased about my accent. Many people have misconceptions about NY and NYC. I certainly don't get combative when their, at times, uneducated and ignorant opinions differ from mine. Unlike you, when people knock NY I don't take it personally. Why? Because in my heart I feel it's the greatest place in the world. No one or nothing will ever change that opinion.

For the record, those states, and countries I lived in, can tell me a lot about comparisons.....most people can't say that...

And what's that prove and what's it say. I've been to LA. Nice place to visit. I wouldn't want to live there. Been to OK City. Loved the city. Wouldn't want to live there. Been to Chicago. Would love to live there. One doesn't have to travel the country and the world to form their OWN opinions where they would or would not want to live. Your worldly travels doesn't make you an authority on the best places to live. Those are YOUR best places to live. As Wayne and I discussed early. I love NYC. He would hate it. Wayne likes where he lives. His opinion is I would hate it. Is one place better than the other? Of course not!

Just last weekend a few hundred thousand people from all over the country visited Daytona for Biketoberfest. There's always comments and kidding about one city/state and another. No one takes it personally.

I would say that it was an ill advised comment that could be open to interpretation.
