The whole state? All 3.6 million residents are down to earth. Like every where in the world I'm sure you have different people with different personalities and different walks of life.

This applies to every city. I'm not going to visit or live in Ada, OK. I did visit OK City. Great city. But I'm more of a big city boy. I grew up 20 minutes from the Big Apple.

    I chose to live here....not forced to....why.....

6 sons loved their hi schools and college......

plenty for them to do around here.....

nice, loving, caring people who are always willing to help each other out......

plenty for adults to do with families or alone....

    great school systems....
Different strokes for different folks. Oklahoma doesn't corner the market on all the reasons you listed above. Most states, cities, and town have their share of great school as well as lousy schools.

I personally think NYC is the greatest city in the world. It wouldn't hurt my feelings if anyone said they'd never want to live there. Again different strokes for different folks. NYC is not for everyone.

I like, not love, where i live. If it wasn't for blizzards, i would love it. Frank would probably hate it here because he likes the big city. I've always lived in smaller cities so it is not for me. Boston and NY City are NIGHTMARES for me. I always say they are fun to visit but i could NEVER live there. Several people i know can't even own a car because there is no need or place for it. That just isn't for me. Too much craziness i guess. The worst city i ever visited hands down was Cleveland Ohio. I don't mean any offense to people from there but it was the biggest dump i've ever seen. Except for where the stadiums or RNR HOF is, it was all run down, dirty and FULL OF BUGS. rUN DOWN AND EMPTY BUILDINGS EVERYWHERE AND JUST NOT VERY NICE PEOPLE THAT I CAME ACROSS. iT WAS JUST A EXPERIENCE I NEVER WANT TO RELIVE. I love Boston & NY City but just to visit. I hear Detroit is the slum of all slums right now but i don't know from 1st hand experience.

Wayne, that's the point I was trying to make. We all have different personalities, wants and needs. People who've been born and raised in rural America would not want to live in Boston or NY and vice versa. It doesn't make either of us right or wrong. It's about personal preferences.

I can relate to your Cleveland experience. A few years ago I was in Fort Wayne, Indiana in February on a business trip. Upon driving around the city I was thinking to myself "how can anyone want to live here". It doesn't mean the residents don't love their city. It's just not for me.

I don't know how in the hell you read all that into my statements, but you ARE GOOD AT INTERPRETING IT YOUR WAY....

For the record, those states, and countries I lived in, can tell me a lot about comparisons.....most people can't say that...

you once again, missed my whole point...no frank, not the whole state.....evwery stae, including yous has good points, and some pretty bad ass dumps....they all do...

mny point was his rudeness....I guess you agfree with that approach, so i guess we'll hear the famous "it's a forum""free speech bs again"...

I have a lil more concern for others opinions and feelings than I guess you and grandmama have....

FOR the record......my 2 top places to ive after all my travels are...

UpState NY....Adirondacks (spelling) and Colo Springs Colo......

there's mny opinionhs wothout any sass or crudeness and at least some respect for others beliefs....

Well Joe and Karl, I was pretty mean towards people in Cleveland Ohio too but i said no offense because i didn't mean any. It was just my opinion on "My" experience while there. If i lived in Cleveland, i would move in a heartbeat but that's just me. If i grew up there i'm sure it would be different but i didn't.

How were you mean?? did you read grandmama comments to kb?? Your statement/post is no comparison ... You were not crude and you did not say it with malice .. I did not read where you said that you feel sorry for anyone living there

I did read his post where he said that Joe. I guess i've seen a hell of a lot worse than someone saying they feel sorry for someone living somewhere. People probably feel sorry for me living up here in Maine too. I wouldn't be offended by that if they have been here and didn't like it though. There are times during blizzards where i feel sorry for myself too!

I guess it just wasn't a big deal to me when i read it.

I meant kb. Yes, i saw it, and like i said, people shit on kb and Oklahoma all the time here. If he has been there and he felt that way, i guess like i said, i've seen much worse things said here. I figured if kb was offended by it, he would have taken care of it on his own.

Oh he did ... and then he text me and asked me to delete what he said ...

Because you have seen worse Wayne does not make it right ...

Well, i didn't see kb feel that way and frank probably didn't either. Maybe deleting his response was also a mistake.

Man, I rarely, if ever get involved in these gentlemen disagreements, but I wouldn't have taken the comment the wrong way.

I took it as kind of a slap at nothing to do instead of a slap at anyone in particular. As a matter of fact, he said the fans and people were "down to earth" .

"Nothing to do" can be a compliment to people. I like the slow and steady lifestyle personally. Like my old man used to say, "its not what you say, but how you say it". Since we couldn't hear granmama say it, I would cut him some slack.

Just an unbiased third party opinion.

I'm sorry Joe, Kb and Kaptain but somebody simply saying "I feel sorry for you"

Are you serious?? Who cares??? That is nothiong on this forum and when i say i've seen much worse, i mean i didn't think much of that comment at all. If someone says something about family or something, that's personal to me. Who gives a fuck where i or you live really? If they feel sorry, so be it. It's his opinion.
