Vegas Has "Lots" of Confidence in John Smoltz

Obviously a useless and injured Dice K and injured Wakefield hurt bigtime, and what can I say about Smoltz! In addition, although he has saved some games, Papelbon is not the sme closer as he was in the years prior and appears to have peaked.
As much as I respect Francona, I will really be irritated with him if gives Smoltz another start as a starter, I don't care who they are playing and who is pitching for the other team.
When you couple that with a lack of a proven and bonafide shortstop who can both field and hit consistently, things don't look very good at the moment.
I hope I am wrong but 2006 keeps coming back into my mind.

Youk just went 10/12 against Baltimore. He has been on fire. Bay is fucken killing them right now. He is either hurt or he plays and strikes out 4 times. Papelbon is a walking fucken heart attack. The bullpen can't hold leads anymore, Big Papi has sucked bad for the whole season except 2 weeks and Varitek SUCKS. He hits .220 and can't throw anybody out from behind the plate. Nick Green is an error machine again and the god almighty savior Jed Lowrie sucks like a hooker in a Ho' Down. He couldn't hit a softball if it was on a tee. Wow, i'm so excited to have him back. This team is in fucken shambles right now and boy wonder gets a C/1B and calls it good. Great Job Theodore!

I'll never say anything about Youk. He has had to cover 1B, 3B and LF in the last month while carrying the team in the cleanup spot. His overall numbers and average are still very good, especially considering he was on the DL. 20 Guys need to go and he ain't one of them!

Pitching has fucken SUCKED for 2 months Bryan except for 2 guys on that whole pitching staff (Beckett,Lester). I'm baffled that you could even say that.

Dude, It's not just 1 game. They have been playing like shit for a month now. And right now, the Yankees pitching is CLEARLY better than Boston's. Maybe not the top 2, but the other 3 are.

Its not about playing poorly, they do it every year. Its when they play poorly that usually gets them. They will turn it around by September/October

beckett lester and wake have been good the first half and penny who sucks always got good run support. the weak spot has been the pen. i love youk. but he was terrible for a month not saying he isnt an all star and a great player just saying the teams struggles are definitely on the offensive side not in the rotation especially not starting pitching. just look at tonight. IMO jaba sucked ass tonight and the sox couldnt do shit. they have to have DD LOB and that is brutal 6 hits come on.
