A report on ESPN says Henry has it written in his letter of intent that he can be let out if Calipari leaves! Do we need anymore proof that the players play for the coach and not the school? This is from the article...pretty telling....

So why did Henry sign with the Tigers? For the school or Calipari?

"For both," Henry said. "Coach Calipari was a big deal in that he was my coach. He was going to teach me everything. He was going to develop me during the years."

The rest of the players on hand were thrilled not to be in Henry's shoes. Picking a college is among the biggest decisions these kids have ever made, and for it to be thrown into chaos at this point is daunting. The general feeling among the All-Americans is that Henry and Cousins will leave Memphis if Calipari does -- Henry has it written into his letter of intent that he can leave if Calipari does, while Cousins' verbal commitment isn't binding. Most players agree they chose their schools based on the coach and would want to reconsider their options if he left.

Calipari in one move has single handedly set Memphis back 15 years. Tyreke even said: If he's going I am too. I'm pissed at Cali for leaving. We also have now lost the 1,3 and 6th overall high school players in the nation.

I'm pissed that Cali is dismantling the Memphis program and now is even going to take some of the recruits to UK. If you were a Memphis fan, I think you might be mad too.

There's no stipulations at all, friend. I have absolutely never had a problem with anyone here, EVER, so to say I am in for a lot of "misery" seems pretty off base. The only times I have ever really expressed any discontent with a statement was when it was a statement of yours. As for taking things seriously, are you kidding? I joke around with everyone here. Me and savage have a thread where we pick games based on rotation #s. And I'll tell you again what my problem was and still is:

Whatever mavs. With those stipulations needed to talk with you, i have a feeling you will be offended by MANY in your time here. Once again, it is an internet chat room and if you are going to take people so seriously, you are in for alot of misery. I'll make sure to avoid your feathers because the last thing i want to do is ruffle them again. I tried in the posts about with smiles and everything but if you are still stuck on being miserable, i don't care, have at it.

DeMarcus Cousins is verbally committed, but hasn't signed a letter of intent.

John Wall hasn't even committed yet, but he said a number of times that Memphis was "leading".

The funny part mavs is if we had this same debate in the living room, i probably would have told you "You're fucken crazy" about 5 times ... but you would have seen me doing it with a smile on my face or while laughing. Most guys talk like that with people everyday off these forums. You get on here and nobody can see facial expressions so they either A) Assume the worst or B) Fire back and have some fun. Unfortunately you chose A the other night. Was i being sarcastic? No doubt, open up some threads because people do that with each other every day here. Your comment, was a poke at me, insinuating that I knew nothing about CBB. It's two different things Wayne. And if it had been a one time thing, I'd let it roll off, but in arguements and debates throughout my time here, I've noticed you talk down to people that way a lot, including me.

I'll debate with you all you want, until you make snide, sarcastic comments at me. Yeah, I'll take it serious. You wanna debate, debate, you can save all that other stuff. I'd also appreciate it if you quit acting as if your comment the other night was totally fine, and was not meant as a shot. I just replied to your quote, because I know it was a statement toward me. Now maybe we can put to rest the money Memphis spent on these few recruits and what they lost. It looks like Kentucky covered all of those fees for them. .

I'll refrain from further arguing with you in this thread or any other as I don't see much to be gained from it.
