This pitch he didn't need till he got to the big show, where batters were sitting on his fastball. He may be 8th in the AL in strikeouts, but he is also 9th in walks.



Reds counter with Dan Claussen who is 2-3, and has a 4.50 ERA. They got him from the Yankees in 2003, and he may not be ace material, but has sufficient ability, and is a great competitor. He is good at changing speeds, and possesses a very good slider where the majority of his K's come from. He has a history of bad luck, evidenced by last year when he went seven straight games not allowing more than three runs per outing and got no decisions. RED ZONE SPORTS loves this strong underdog and rates it a double play special. Take Cincy and go to the bank on Saturday evening.
