    **TOP RATED COMP PLAY ON:

    Creighton +1.5

The Bluejays are one of the hottest teams in the country entering the NCAAs, winning eight straight, including the MVC tournament title...and has some serious momentum on their side...WV also on a slight run, but they may have shot their load in the Big East Tourney, just to get here..
This game matches up two teams who like to shoot the long ball and has been rather absent on the rebounding end, as both their rankings in Rebounding Margin for their conferences can atest to....So with the winner from this one likely to be the team who is a better around the perimeter, lets look at some of the stats which I see favoring the Hot Jayhawks today...

On the season, Creighton is hitting 41.5% from beyond the Arc...while WV is hitting 34.8%....On the Road this year, Creighton has hit 40%...while WV has hit just 37% away from home....In the last 5 games played, Creighton was on Fire draining 43.8% of their shots from downtown....whereas, WV hit 40% in this span....Creighton is ranked 1st in the Missouri Valley conference with their average of 8.5 three pointers made per game....and WV is ranked last in the Big East Conf at 3pt FG% Defense...Not good!

The Bluejays are led by their trio of sharp shooting guards in Jr Funk, who is averages 17.6 ppg and 5.0 rpg...and is a First-Team All-MVC selection, and is considered one of the most dangerous shooters in the country with his 47% average from behind the Arc......His partner in crime is fellow perimeter star Jr G Mathies, who is averaging 11.6 ppg on 42.9 % shooting from behind the arc...Mathies is also pulling down 2.8 rpg and dishing out 2.2 apg, but it has been his play over the last month that has allowed the Bluejays to reach the tournament.....Rounding the trio off is Sr G McKinney, who doesnt have the numbers like Funk and Mathies has, but what he is just as or more so important, in that he leads the team in assist with his +5 per game average....Still though, you cant forget the sharp shooters coming off the bench as well....especially in Sr G Millner, who is averaging almost double digit scoring with 9.5 ppg, and is shooting 38% from behind the Arc and averages 1.7 three's per game off the bench....

Creighton is definately a guard-based team, with Tyler McKinney, Nate Funk and Mathies providing much of the team's scoring output.....But lately, the big men have emerged, especially on the defensive end, to give Creighton even more balance to this attack.

WV also likes to live by the long ball, as they, like the Bluejays are not that dominating on the boards...But, the problem for the Mountaineers is that when they go cold from the perimeter, they have a hard time scoring...and their bench, besides G Berlein is the only one adding any real production if any...This is one reason, why the Mountaineers has struggled before their run in the Big East Tourney....Still, this team is a streaky team and that makes them not a good side to back up going into this game vs a consistant Hot shooting team in Creighton....WV's Forwards Tyrone Salley and Mike Gansey are good solid players, but they will again be giving up a lot of size with them standing only 6-7 and 6-4...Thus with Creighton's big guys playing solidly down the stretch, I have to like there balanced attack to be more effective then the Mountaineers will be today...

Creighton's Coach Altman, has been in this position before and that should help him get this team up and ready to play tough tournament ball like they have been known to do in this Underdog role....One other thing also, which may go against this WV team is the fact that they expended all their energies in the Big East tournament just to get here today..and sometimes its hard for players to get up to match that level they had to be at, facing some of the nations best teams, ie, Nova, BC, Cuse...and have to be able to do it again against a lower Mid Level opponent like the Bluejays are....This is what I am expecting them to do today, and that may spell a Big Creighton upset...GL and Aloha CC.

*please disregard any typos or grammatical errors, as I didnt have time to edit this write-up...Thxs.

FYI:...This was the TOP RATED PLAY released w/ my BIG BLOWOUT GOM selection......

        **TOP RATED PLAY ON:

        Villanova -5.5

The Wildcats are still one of the hottest teams in the country entering the NCAA Tourney...This Nova team has proven themselves throughout the year beating Big teams like Pitt, UConn and BC...and also by beating good shooting teams like Kansas, WV, and ND...One of the main reasons for their success this year, has been the balanced offensive play from their frontcourt from their solid Guards in Foye, Ray, Nardi, and Lowry....that compliments their low post players in Sumpter and Frazer and Sheridan, who all pulls down more than five rebounds per a game....

But, a big part to their success also comes from their solid play on the defensive end where they rank in the Top 20 in defensive FG% shooting allowed, holding opponents to under 40% shooting from the field for the season.....G's Foye and Ray have been solid defensively averaging more than 3 steals per game to go along with their scoring over 32 points on the offensive end.....But, they are not the only ones providing solid defense..as 6 different players are averaging at least one steal per game...Nova's pressure style on defense has caused a lot of disruptions and bad shots from their opponents....Today, vs the Lobos who like to live a lot from the perimeter, I expect this defense to again take away any easy shots which NM has been enjoy playing in the MWC where defense seems to not be that highly stressed, except for AF...

NM comes in with the lowest Strength of Schedule ranking 315...this is another reason why I am not getting so excited about this Lobos team, as others seem to be getting...Yes they do have a solid player in F Granger, but Nova matches him with F Sumpter who is just as good....The advantage I see for Nova, will be in their depth....and also in their solid guard play, where NM's guards cannot match....Nova's guards and their high pressure perimeter defense will be to much for NM to overcome once they start to fall behind....And we have seen this year, NM either wins pretty or they lose badly....Today, I dont see them winning this one...so I will have to expect them to follow their trend of losing badly.

        -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

        FYI:

My "BIG BLOWOUT GAME OF THE MONTH" selection is still available and goes off in one of the 9 pm EST games.....So you still have time to get on it....I also am looking at releasing another Solid Top Rated Play , just like the one above, along with this GOM selection, at no additional cost.....So dont miss the chance to end your day with these Bad Boys ready to do some damage to the Man today!....Aloha CC.

          Update:

Yesterday's Blowout Play was a bust as Kansas decided to play Bucknell's slow tempo style of play instead of blowing them off the court in an up tempo game, where the Bison's struggle in transition...Kind of makes me think that Coach Self overlooked this team as an automatic win for them...Thus deciding to play their game, which would allow his players to conserve their legs for the second round....Hmm....Whatever the case may be, Kansas, especially their Seniors in Simeon and Langford..blew their chance of getting back to the Championship game, where they lost two years ago to Syracuse....

Damn Jayhawks! :angryfire ..this is who you lost to..a No. 14 seed with zero NCAA tournament victories in its 110-year history, five scholarship players and who even came with a borrowed band....How embarrassing!

Anyways, even with that loss, we still were able to end the day on a very Solid Run..almost finishing with a complete Sweep of my Last Set of Plays , which ended going 4-0-1, pushing with Mich St -8...

This will be the first and most likely the last time I will have a Package packed with this much quality plays, and priced at a Super Low Rate, like this one is set at as well.....For those of you who seriously wanted to come on board with me this past season in CFB or CBB, but the price may have been a bit to high for you....then Guys, you simply have no reason NOT to take full advantage of this Opportunity I am offering everyone with this Package... I cut the price by roughly 50% the normal price....I included my "BGP"-GOY selection, which currently has a documented record of 8-0 (in CFB, CBB, Coll Bases) since 2003 ....and which I have decided to include in this Final Plays Package, at No Additional Cost to anyone on board....I simply provided you every reason why you should get on this Package, so its up to you to decide....But, these plays wont wait for you forever....Remember, today we start "the Sweet 16" Baby!....So you better hurry.

Btw, I re-posted Last Seasons "BGP"-Tourney GOY selection Winner on UCONN ....along with its very indepth Write-Up and Big Game Analysis, in the 2nd post of this thread, for you to view the Quality, Extensive Work, and Solid Value these "BGP's" have...Go ahead and review last seasons "BGP"-Tourney GOY Winner posted above, if you need to see evidence of what I am saying..

Not many other so-called sports handicapping service out there will provide an opportunity for you to do this with their so-called GOY Plays, etc...Seems most only like to post their bogus Records with a lot of talk and no real reasons or validity to back up their Big selections, using solid Handicapping Methods (Fundamental, Situational, and/or Statistical)....At least with my "BGP'S" you can view exactly why it is I am playing it so Big and why I feel it is a Solid Money Making Opportunity fthat we should take advantage of...So far, my "BGP"-GOY selections have found a lot of success, and my Write-Ups relays exactly why that is..

Anyways, last years big win in the last game of the season was a SWEET way to end the CBB-Season...This year's GOY should be just as solid, if not more with this field we got lined up to make a run for the Crown....Still no matter when I release this play or any of the other plays included in this Final Plays Package, you can be sure that your money was well worth the investment made, and even more so with this SPECIAL LOW RATE I released it at as well..

FYI:... "Sweet 16" Play and Write-Up I released today...

                WASHINGTON +2

One thing this Husky team certainly doesnt need is more incentives to make them want to shut more people up....First they get slammed as a #1 seed selection, then they get railed again for being put into a region with two #1 seeds....and now, they get installed as the underdog to the 4th seeded Louisville team in their Sweet 16 match-up...This is just the type of motivating factors which I look for, being handed to a team like Washington, who has the veteran leaders and Sr players to play with a chip on their shoulder..and I feel the Huskies are just the type of team to do just that...

Louisville is getting all the publicity as being the team who will advance in this game...and most of it is due to their so-called bad loss in last years Tournament which they will use to their advantage...Well, I dont know about that being strong enough to get them past Washington, but dont forget this Husky team was also here last season and fell short of their goal...In fact, the reason why G Robinson returned back this year, instead of going Pro, was for one reason and one reason only....To get to the Final Four...I feel with him leading the way with both his play and his heart, they have a damn good chance of getting there...

Ok, one thing I like about this Husky team in this match-up, is the fact that they are a very active team who gets solid contributions from everyone on the court....The Huskies had five double-figure scorers in both games and averaged 92.5 points in the opening weekend, just shy of North Carolina for most in the tournament....Solid...But also solid is how they seem to all be active on the boards as well, especially from their backcourt where their trio of Guards in Robinson, Roy, and Simmons combine to average 14 rpg....Louisvilles backcourt is not this active averaging approximately half of this rebounding total per game....

This Husky team becomes dangerous when they start to run and keep the game at an uptempo pace, as most teams arent able to stay with them, for one main reason being, Husky team speed....And another reason, being that this team has players who all can shoot the ball well....This balanced offensive team in the Huskies ranks 2nd in the nation with 86.7 ppg, and although Louisville can also shoot the ball and score with the best of them, I dont think that they will be able to run with this Washington team today...and I dont expect them to try either...In the Cards last game vs GT, they faced a team who can play an uptempo game and who has a trio of solid guards leading the way....and instead of playing their game, the Cardinals instead went to a 2-3 Zone defense to slow down Tech and it worked very effectively, so I see them using it again as a way to slow down this Husky team.....However, the problem with GT was that their game plan against Louisville was not to utilize their guard play, and instead they decided to take advantage of their size down low instead to beat them....Wrong move which cost them a win, IMO...

Why?....Because if you look back in games where Louisville struggled, either losing by a few or winning by a few, it was against teams who had solid active backcourts....ie, Memphis with their trio of guards who combined to score 53 pts, 11 rebs, and 14 assists in their 1 pt loss to the Cards......La Laff with Wade, Greene, and Mitchell, who combined to score 23 pts, grabbed 13 rebs, and 11 assist in their 6 pt loss.....and against UAB's Taylor, McDonald, and Johnson, who combined to score 35 pts, 15 rebounds and 7 assist.....The Husky Trio or should I say Quadruple of Solid active Guards led by Robinson (16.6 ppg, 3.9 rpg, and 4.6 apg), Simmons (16.2 ppg, 5 rpg, and 1.6 apg), Roy (12.7 ppg, 5 rpg, and 2.2 apg), and Conroy (9.2 ppg, 3.4 rpg, and 6.4 apg), will give Louisvilles backcourt all it can handle today..

Another thing which makes Washington's backcourt hard to defend, even with the Zone defense, is their ability to penetrate and open up plays for someone to score...And it wont really matter who it is they decide to dish the ball to, as the Huskies have only two players shooting less than 50% from the field from their top 5 scorers....and these two are G's Robinson and Simmons, their two leading scorers...

If Louisville comes out cold shooting from the perimeter, they will struggle because I dont see their frontcourt, being able to score enough to make up the difference that this Husky team will put up.....If the Husky's stick to running an uptempo game, they should be able to outscore Louisville because they will have more options to score against them....I also like this Husky team cause they are looking like a team on a mission...and 8 of their 9 top players are either Seniors or Juniors which makes them even more able to handle this role and play up to their #1 seeding...Furthermore, Washington will have the edge of depth in both the backcourt and frontcourt to play their uptempo game, as they do get solid contributions from players coming off the bench...something which Louisville lacks....I think the Husky will simply have to many weapons and to much support off the bench for Louisville to match....The Cards are a dangerous team who can score with the best of them...but I think their lack of depth will catch up to them vs this opponent like the Huskies who are not only fast, deep, but who can also shoot, pass, and protect the ball as well as anyone in the nation...

One last advantage which this Husky team will have and which might play a huge role in opening up this 2-3 Zone defense which Louisville used to shut down GT, is the fact that besides the Huskies backcourt who can shoot the three's, their frontcourt players in F Jones and Jensen both as well have the ability to drain it from downtown...This is one thing which Louisville didnt have to worry about from GT's big men....Not the same in this game....Husky frontcourt could come up big today as the Cards concentrate on stopping Washington's active backcourt, like they did with GT...But Nate "the Great" will again come up big and lead his team on to the next round with attitude and focus.

*please ignore any typos or grammatical errors...as I didnt have time to edit these write-ups...Thanks.

FYI:..."Sweet 16"-Top Play and Write-Up released on Thursday!...

                  **TOP RATED PLAY ON:

                  ARIZONA +2 (79-78 WINNER!)

I love Zona here because they will bring a solid balanced team with G Stoudamaire and C Frye, leading the way....Zona, in my opinion, is one of the teams who is playing very solid ball on both ends on the floor....They took care of a solid Utah St team who was leading the nation in FG% shooting a outstanding 53.1% from the field, and who has not shot less than 42% since their second game of the season....Arizona held the Aggies to 36.4 % shooting, which included 26.7 % in the 2nd half....They then was able to outplay UAB and their full court pressure game beating them by a convincing 85-63...To be able to beat two teams with different styles of play in convincing fashion, is a solid indication to me that this team is ready, willing, and able to play with anyone and any style of ball needed to move on....

Zona in these two wins was led by their two star players in Senior guard Salim Stoudamire, who scored 45 points in the first two NCAA victories, including 28 against UAB...and Center Channing Frye, who had 17 points, 10 rebounds and five blocked shots in the win over Utah State..

One advantage which the Wildcats will have over the Cowboys is in their size in the post area....with 6-11 Frye and 6-10 F Radenovic....The Cowboys are not tall, but they are very physical and aggressive on the boards where they play bigger than they are with 6'7 F Graham 7.1 rpg, 6'8 F McFarlin, and 6'6 Crawford....Still, they have struggled in games against bigger post players, especially when they get into early foul trouble which F Joey Graham has been doing lately, which the Cowboys cannot have happen if they want to move on....The Cowboys success starts with F Graham dominating down low....and with him getting to the FT line where he leads the Big 12 in FT %.....When he is not putting up the points, the Cowboys have no one else who they can consistantly rely upon to make up the difference on a consistant basis....In the past two games, Graham averaged only 7.5 points and 2.5 rebounds...And although they got two solid games from F McFarlin and Fr G JamesOn Curry, they were against SE Louisiana and S ILL....Not going to work again vs this Wildcat team who is a big, fast, and athletic....So, no matter how strong McFarlin comes on underneath, or what outside contribution freshman guard JamesOn Curry supplies, or how much leadership John Lucas exerts at the point, the Cowboys are dependent on Graham...without him having a dominant game, they wont move on..

Knowing how important Graham is to this Cowboy teams success, I expect that Coach Olsen will attack him and try to get him in early foul trouble which he is know to get in, due mostly to his aggressive style of play...Zona has an edge at doing this because they have the height edge in the post...Graham due to him giving up height, will most times make up for this by using his quickness and athletic ability at attacking the rim with his quick moves to the hoop...However, this is also the type of play which gets him into foul trouble against skilled defenders he faces....Well, today he will face one of the Pac-10's top defenders in C Frye who is 2nd in the Pac-10 in blocks shots per a game....and will face the Pac-10's 2nd best Rebounding team with 6-11 Frye (15.6 points and 7.4 rebounds), 6-4 Adams (12.3 points and 5.8 rebounds, and also leads the team in steals with 66), and 6-10 Radenovic (8.6 points and 5.6 rebounds)..

One thing which I have been hearing others state, is that its a good sign when Ok St can still win games even with Graham not having his usual dominant game....They think that this is a good thing, and feel that he is due for a big game....This may be true to some extent, but Grahams problems seem to have gone further them him not having a good day....Grahams problem seems to be a mental one, which has made him timid to play his usual game for fear of getting in foul trouble....Graham's play have caused Coach Sutton to seek out professional help to cousel him through this...We've been doing a lot of counseling with him. Maybe we're talking too much to him, said Coach Sutton....IMO, this all started when Coach Sutton told Graham that if he doesnt get to the FT line and cause teams to foul him, then they cant expect to go very far in the Tournament....Coach Sutton, explained that when Graham is sent to the line a lot, they have the advantage because of his ability to shoot lights out from the charity stripe...when he is not getting to the line, they struggle.....WOW, talk about pressure, huh...Problem for Graham as mentioned above, is that his aggressive play which gets him fouled a lot, also is gets him in foul trouble a lot as well....So what is he to do, but to become hesitant in his playing his normal style of play which brought him all the glory...This seriously is not a situation a team with its most important player wants to be in, right now..and just because this is for the National Championship hopes, but also because they will be facing an opponent who plays solid defense, solid on the boards, and is also has an advantage in size over them today..

OSU has been surviving by other players having career games....but they cannot rely on players like F McFarlin again putting up career numbers as they move on closer to the Final Four....Nor can they afford to count on their perimeter shooting from their Freshman G in Curry, who for the bulk of their offense and especially as he will be going up against one of the nations best G's in Salim Stoudamire who a spectacular 3-point shooter who has converted 115 shots from beyond the arc this season, at a 51.3-% clip....Stoudamire, should be able to school this Freshman Curry with his quick release and seemingly limitless range...not to mention, his ability to score off the dribble which adds to his team leading 18.6 points per game average...

Bottom line, is I simply cant ignore Graham's current mental funk and Zona's current Solid Play, not only on the offensive side, but also on the defensive side as well....The Cowboys are not at all a shut down type of defense, and their ranking 11th ing FG% Defense and 8th in 3 pt FG% Defense in the Big 12 can atest to...Zona today, with Stoudamire on the outside and Frye on the inside should be just enough to get this Wildcat team a win in a physical battle which I feel they will be able to win...because of they will give the Cowboys a big challenge trying to score against their caliber size and quickness which they will bring to this match-up...

Lastly, and dont forget that the Zone defense has already been proven to be a solid defensive tactic against this Cowboy team, whose post players like Graham are not as efficient shooting jumpers, when he cant penetrate, which is how he scores most of his points....but will be limited doing if he gets in foul trouble....Gotta like the Wildcats situation and matchup edges in this game...should be enough for them to move on the Elite Eight.

*please ignore any typos or grammatical errors...as I didnt have time to edit these write-ups...Thanks

                        -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                        *Complimentary Plays for Saturday..

                        *TOP RATED PLAY ON:

                        Arizona/ILL UNDER 145

-Some info on the Ariz/ILL Under play...

Both Ariz and ILL this past year havent played to many games which traveled over the posted total...In fact, combined both teams have gone 28-11= 72% UNDER the Total away from Home this past season...Both teams has also stepped things up on the Defensive end in these games which is a must in order to win..

Zona in their last 5 games has held opponents to just 66.8 ppg and 39.4% shooting....in the Tourney, they have held opponents to only 38% shooting from the field....While ILL, in their last 5 games has held opponents to just 55.2 ppg and they held its last six opponents to just 36 % shooting, including 29% from behind the Arc, since losing to Ohio State in the regular-season finale.

Zona, has also gone UNDER the total in 6 of their last 7 games....While ILL, has gone UNDER the total in 8 consecutive games..

With so many quick and talented perimeter players, in this matchup...this one looks like its going to be a high scoring game...However, key players on both teams are hobbling with injuries...ie, ILL's Head, has a sore hamstringSaturday's game could be a high-scoring one. Injuries, however, could play a part....And Zona's mobile 6-11 C Frye was limping at times during the last game with Ok St due to a knee injury..

In these games..the oddsmakers knows that these two have players who can score..and thus have adjusted the O/U line accordingly, especially since they also know that the public likes to also play the Overs...and thus it seems they are with this line moving up..

Furthermore, it is also important to remember that with each win for a team comes a higher pressure placed on them in the next game, because of the closer they get to reaching the Final Four...But, also creating even more pressure is the opponents they will face with each successive game also most times gets better and better...So because of this, players can be expected to have more jitters and nervousness which will set in and cause more times where there will be several minutes of scoring droughts...which is a positive for the Under...

Lastly, with the importance of this game today...I expect both teams to step up their defensive play and go into more of a defensive mode...I dont see this one getting into a track meet especially with the injuries on both teams...Defense is the Key to winning these games and both teams will definately step up their play today.

*REMEMBER....My TOURNEY GOY goes tomorrow (Sunday)...Aloha CC.,
