-Two teams that like to run the ball...only problem is, one of them can actually stop it...Battle of the Trenches as you all keep hearing me talking about, is one of the most important places to control...and if you cant do that then you give your opponent an opportunity to dictate the game...For Carolina they love to run it, but if the running game gets shut down..then they struggle a lot at getting things on offense to click..QB Durant is a great athlete, but he cant do it all...On the otherside, BC runs the Pro style type of offense which their coach brought over from the Pro's which is to pound the ground, then to use the play action pass to their advantage...QB Peterson is a very solid QB at doing just that...and vs this porous defense of NC, he should be able to find a lot of success..

I feel that BC will win both sides of the line in this one today, and All American DE Kiwanuka should have a field day when they do just that...BC ranked 32nd in total def, compared to NC 109th total defensive ranking giving up a whooping 443.73 ypg...BC ranked 15th in Scoring Def, compared to NC's 91st ranking in Scoring Defense giving up 31.36 ppg...Biggest stat to me is, BC ranked 38th in Run Defense giving up only 131 ypg, to NC's ranking of 108th Run Defense giving up a Whooping 217.55 ypg...Holy Shit! is this NC or Hawaii..LOL....Oh yeah, the difference in these two between Hawaii and NC, is that they have a passing attack which can overshadow and make up for their weakness on the defensive end...NC's pass attack is ranked 63rd, but problem here is BC's defense is solid vs the pass as well, ranking 36th in the land, only giving up 199 ypg...

Look for Peterson to have a solid game today and go out a winner..He isn't flashy and isn't going to put up a ton of yards, even though he put up 367 on Pittsburgh and 383 on Notre Dame, and NC's defense is not that far behind these two...Cannot deny BC's success in recent Bowl games as they are the Best in the Nation in winning Bowl games in recent year...BC has won its last four bowl games and six of its last seven...Today, the Eagles bounce back off of that Syracuse loss in a big way....Eagles all the Way....Good luck all and LETS GO GET EM!!...ALOHA CC.

-I like Navy a lot...I like their coach a lot more...Coach Johnson, use to be here at Hawaii and the guy is super offensive mind...when he left, it was a sad day for us locals, but I for one knew that the head position was an inevitable for a guy of his caliber...He proved this winning the Div 1AA Championship, and then again at Navy where he has brought this team to two solid years...Last years Navy team was a solid one, this years they are a notch below, but I do like that service academy discipline and heart that you can never count out...

I like the running of Moore, behind that huge Big Uglys line..but their QB is shitty as hell...NM's defense is good vs the run, but they have face just one team sort of like this Navy team and they lost...whereas Navy won, and this was against AF...Navy's QB is solid both running and passing..and it will be the passing of Planco which will help open up those running lanes a bit more...Everyone and their ancestors is thinking that no passes are going to be attempted in this one, but I say yes they will be as both teams will simply try and stack the line to stop the run and that is when I see Planco using the play action off the option, which he uses a lot better than NM's QB does....Plus, Navy's defense is a lot more discipline and that is one reason why they are ranked 39th and NM's defense against the pass ranks 70th...One last thing I like a lot about Navy's offense, is that they have more weapons to hurt you on the ground, then NM who will solely rely on Moore...I like the squids to beat the Lobo's...

Louisville -10 (buy .5pt)

-Today I feel the Cardinals led by QB Lefors will expose this Boise St squad just like how TT was able to expose Cal for not being worthy of such a high ranking....This year, this Boise St team should of lost to Tulsa, Byu, and also to lowly SJST team....but they got lucky and they know it as well....Boise does hold the nations longest winning streak, but this Louisville team will the best team they will have faced in the last two season....Louisville should be able to hold the advantages on both sides of the ball in this game and especially on the defensive end, where they rank among the nations best, allowing just 17.8 ppg and only give up 307.9 total ypg.....Louisville defense not only is giving up only 110.9 ypg on the ground, but they also are only giving up 197.0 ypg throught the air....The Cardinal defense has also forced a solid 26 turnovers, 16 of which were by interception, and they also recorded 35 sacks on the year...Solid!

On offense, you can forget about it....This team starting with QB Lefors is simply going off on the offensive end where he runs the nations #1 offensive machine...Lefors, the Conf USA Player of the Year, showed exactly why he deserves every bit of this recognition...This year, he has a solid 9-1 TD/Int ratio and is completing an unheard of 74% of his passes....WOW!...He also threw 18 TDs and had just 2 interceptions, as well as, scoring 4 rushing TDs and gaining over 250 yards on the ground this year...He is simply the most complete QB, in my opinion, that I have witness this year...and with the bevy of weapons he got on offense to compliment him, its no wonder that this Louisville squad also leads the nation in scoring with a whopping 50.3 ppg average, and they also leads the nation in total offense gaining over 530 ypg on offense....More specifically, 243.3 ypg on the ground and 293.5 ypg through the air...Unreal!....This Cardinal offense also scored a whopping 68 TDs on the year as well....44 of which came on the ground....Boise St also has some impressive stats, but it wont be their offense who will be exposed so much as...it will be their defense that will be exposed by this Cardinal Offense, both on the ground and especially through the air....Boise St got lucky this year, as their offense put most of the games out of reach giving them a huge edge on the defense...but their defense vs the pass can be exposed and today they surely will be...as they are currently ranks 103rd in the nation giving up 255.6 ypg through the air..and that wont do it vs this balanced offense which will be able to worked the Broncos both on the ground and through the air...

The only advantage Boise has over Louisville today is in their special teams...and it is this special teams who must come up big to help them stay in this game...But, remember, it was Miami's special teams that cost them a huge win over the hurricanes, and I am expecting that Coach Petrino has surely addressed this area especially as Boise comes in with one of the best special teams in the land....Still, I dont expect that the special teams will be able to help the Broncos enough to keep their nations longest winning streak alive, especially not after this Cardinal offense led by QB Lefors gets through with working them over like they never been worked over before...Louisville all the way in this one....Boise St, used up their lives vs Tulsa, Byu, and SJST...They wont be able to excape the Cardinals once they get rolling to their average of over 50 ppg and over 530 total ypg output...Cards will fly all over the Broncos today....GL and Aloha CC.

-This game has got a lot of meaning for these two teams from the state of Florida....Miami wants to continue its dominance over its in-state rivals and Florida wants to establish a new era by being able to beating Miami, something they haven't done in a while now, and at the same time be able to send the remaining coaching staff out as winners...The thing to ask yourself, are they capable of beating the Hurricanes...Well I feel they are, because even with all the turmoil that they have gone through this year, this team has shown that they are capable of being the team which everyone thought they could be, but which of course early they were not, which led to their coach getting booted...

Tonight the Keys for the Gators to beat the Canes, is they must be able to continue their solid balanced offensive attack which they have been playing with in their past 3 game win streak to end the season...RB Fason will need to establish the run on the Canes defense, which will be big in allowing the Gators passing game to work more effectively as well....Teams this year are averaging 156.0 ypg on the ground against the Canes defense..and RB Ciatrick Fason, who averages 106 yards a game, 5.7 ypc rushing, will be tough to handle for the front....RB Fason, after this one, has decided to leave for the NFL, so he will be playing with extra motivation inorder to impress the scouts tonight...Miami's run defense has allowed huge days to Clemson's Reggie Merriweather, Virginia Tech's Cedric Humes and North Carolina's Chad Scott in their losses, and I am expecting them to struggle also with Fason who is not just a threat running, but also receiving out of the backfield as well...In fact, it will be out of the backfield receiving where Fason could cause a lot of problems for this Hurricanes defense, especially their LB's who wont have the speed to keep up with him....The Canes linebackers will play smash mouth football with you, but when they are put into situations where they need to cover a back out of the backfield or drop into pass coverage, this is when Florida can take advantage of their speed on the perimeter and in space, utilizing it on swing routes and screens...

RB Fason will play a big role in tonights game, as he will draw the attention of the LB'ers and even the secondary...and this is a good thing for Florida's QB Leak who will be waiting to attack an opening with their passing game...Florida is first in the SEC and 13th nationally in passing offense (271.9 ypg), and sensational Soph QB Chris Leak is undoubtedly the focus of Miami's defensive game planning... Leak has completed 60.8 percent of his passes for 2,935 yards with 28 touchdowns and only 10 ints this year....The offense is loaded with talented skill players, with the ability to run and catch effectively, and the Gators led the SEC with 33.8 points per game and ranked second in the conference with 428 yards per game....Leak is hot right now, and he needs to get on a roll as Florida was 4-0 this year when Leak threw for 300+ yards...Florida is far from a one-dimensional team when it comes to offense, as the ground attack averaged 156.9 ypg and 4.6 ypc...Twenty rushing TDs have been scored by the Gators, including 10 by RB Fason...and he could fall right into the hands of the Hurricane defenders, who fell prey to power runners in the second half of this season...Florida averages 33.8 ppg, and the Miami defense will certainly have its hands full in this Peach Bowl tonight..

On the other side of the ball, for Florida to win they must be able to keep Miami's RB's Gore and Moss in check and put QB Berlin in obvious passing situations which then they can dictate what they will use to get him off his game....Florida's defense is allowing 20.5 ppg and 351.8 total ypg, and the team gave up 25 touchdowns to opponents offenses in 11 regular season games.....The run defense has been solid this year, only giving up 3.7 ypc....The pass defense, of the Gators are playing solid as well as they only give up a mediocre 11.0 ypc and have intercepted 16 passes, while only allowing 14 TDs through the air.....One of the main players in this game will be Soph LB Crowder, who leads Florida in tackles (70) and has some big-play ability....Crowder's tackle total would be much more impressive if not for the fact that he has missed a great deal of time due to injury..... Jarvis Herring leads the way with 4 Ints, while McDonald has made 10 stops behind the line of scrimmage....This defense against the pass is only lettting opposing QB's to complete barely over 50 % of their passes....The Hurricanes are averaging only 133 yards on the ground this year, and this is about 57 yards under last season's average...If Florida can stuff Miami's running game with Crowder and Everett, the Gators will put Miami QB Brock Berlin in some bad situations giving them the advantage to attacking him.....And off his game is exactly where you want Berlin to be, so that he doesnt have the time to let his receivers complete their routes, as with time, this is when they are deadly....What Florida has to do is play like it did during their 3-game winning streak to close the regular season (Vanderbilt, South Carolina and Florida State), the defense surrendered an average of only 14.6 pts and 323 total yards a game, while recording nine sacks, 22 tackles for losses and 6 pass interceptions...The good news for this game is that Florida's defense will be back to full strength on Friday night..."What's good now is we have everybody back and we have more players who we know can play," Strong said...

Florida not only will want to win this one for their coach's, who they are very close with....but they will want to get back a bit of revenge on the Canes, as last year they gave up a huge lead by letting the Canes score 28 unanswered pts in the 4th on their way to stealing a victory....Tonight, I see the Hot Leak and the Florida Gators continuing their solid play, with a lot of energy and emotion...I expect him to test Miami's solid secondary, once RB Fason gets it going on the ground first....Florida could of had a huge season this year, if only they could of held on to win games which they had control of till almost the end....They ended up only losing 4 of those games this year, by a total of 15 pts...Tonight, they continue on their solid season ending run, and catch Miami still reeling off of their disappointing lost to Va Tech in their house, which cost them a BCS Bowl and the ACC Crown....Fason again, I see having a big day as he tries to impress the scouts and go out a winner along with sending coach Strong and the remaining Zook crew out winners as well.....Florida Gator win this one outright.....GL and Aloha CC.
