You count a win (even if it's a bonus game) as 1 point. Then you add the 10 points since it was a 10* game. That's 11 total.

That's why the confusion started. You add the win twice. Once as 1 pt and then once as 10 points in your bonus scoring. Check out EZ's post and then read Memphis' answer to my question. That's the way she explained it.

20 games total is all you will play. BC scored his plays wrong, that's all. He only counted the 10* loss as minus 10, it should have also been counted as -1 in the 20 game list.

I did not try :

to make it hard and your way of reading my post may have led you to believe that the bonus system was to be called games played , when I dont think I did .

They are as I have said " totally different " and should be kept that way ( for my ease ) of keeping score and making sure the rules are followed ( for my ease ).

My way will show this at the end of every week :

20 games played by your record of " W " & " L " and then even " if " they use thier bonus " or " not it makes it easy for me to quickly scan the scores , regardless if they do or not .

Bonus was never intended to take the place of " any " games played and never implyed to do so !

A 5* win is actually 6 points. 1 pt for the win, and then 5 points for the bonus, even though it's just one game. That makes it easier to understand.

...simply leads one to believe you're playing extra games. You should have simply said , well, actually there is no way to say it easily. But that's why the mix-up started. Check out BC's post for his scoring. He did it wrong, as well. He only counted his 17 "regular" plays and THEN added his bonus plays. He should have scored all 20 games and THEN added the bonus scores. (20 games, just 23 scores)

then i had a 10* winner = +10

add them up = +12

and I might have made a mistake agreeing with EZ (if I did) , but this way is the way this will be done. So as I said earlier " quit looking at others explinations " and live and die by mine .

Look at like two different scoring systems if you must because they are , but you add them together for a total ( very simple )

Games played better say a total of 20 in your wins & losses or you get spanked . " Keep them Seperate " ( just for me ) because I have to keep this straight ( not others ) and I`ll be doggoned if I am going to let anyone make this tough to keep track of .

Love you guys and I must say that I am starting to agree with wayne now , when I started this I expected to spend a few hundred dollars and another few hundred in time alotted to it .

But now I see I must add another couple thousand for my operation on my carpel-tunnel surgery ( big laugh ) because of my lack of explaining this or others lack of grasping it . Anyway I hope everyone understands the way the scoring goes now and to keep your games seperate from your bonus ( they just go " along " with it ) total wise .

You can even add another 20* game if you want ( just kidding ) but you better have at least 20 games ( not bonus ) in your score or else suffer because I aint got the time to seperate them for you .

Now lets do some capping because I have to make up for my major boo-boo yesterday of switching my 10* over to Temple when I had it sitting on a winner ( would have swept 3*,5*,10* )

That is correct

Now we've got it. Once people realize that the bonus games count twice for scoring, but only once for your total # of games, it makes it easy. You count your bonus game as a regular game (+ or -1), and then as a bonus game (+ or - 3, 5, or 10). But it still counts only towards your 20 total, not on top of your 20 for the week.

What really got everybody was that you added the 10 on top of the 1 when counting a bonus game. That meant you were counting the bonus game as ONE GAME, but scoring it twice. That's why the confusion started. If you don't believe me, ask BC. He did his wrong, and he's one of the smartest guys here.
