John missed a few weeks in the pools cause of the birth of his child ..... Something more important than a contest. He even admitted to forgetting about it.

This is the primary reason I'm reluctant to join any contests. I sometimes forget. Sport and sports betting is not a top priority for me. I was in the NBA Dog contest two seasons ago. On many occassion I simply forgot to post my selections.

Same here.. I dont mind getting into a contest that is free and forgetting to make my picks because of family affairs but when i pay $ for them thats a different story.. Sure its only 50 bucks but that is 50 bucks that i could have spent on the family.. It all revolvs around one thing.. FAMILY and his CLIENTS are more important to Rook than ANY contest.. And with that i respect his decision and i totally agree that if i were a service i would be the exact same way..

And one more thing that i would like to add and im sure that some people will agree with me on this..This contest and this thread is not about Rook. So why not go back to the point of this thread and that is the contest itself, not who chooses to participate and who doesn't

I'm not saying that you have to be friends with John, but you sure in the hell have no right to come out and bash him like you have been. He's done nothing to no one to deserve this.

Wayne I disagree with you 100% You are WAY out of line by continuing to call out Rook. I don't agree with Rook's decision but it's not your job to continue to berate him. Quite, honestly you are coming across as an ass. You made your point, more than once, MOVE ON!

Don't confuse the BC members 'silence' as support. Most members are too fearful to post they disagree with you for fear of 'whatever'.

I see your point.. As rook stated earlier IF you were one of his clients that paid the $ to get his picks all season long and you ran across a Forum and there was the picks that were sent to you via email because you paid for them open for all the public to see wouldnt u get a little upset and email him back and demand your $ back?? I know I would.. But like i said in my previous post this thread wasnt made to Bash Rook for his decision to not be in the contest so why not move on and go back to what this thread was meant for and thats the contest not WHO is in the contest..

What I do is attach various post-its (with staples) to the back of my both of my daughters' clothing, every weekend, to remind me to post my picks and update my fantasy teams.

That way I can spend quality time with my kids and enjoy pools and fantasy games as well.

After Wayne's continued bashing, John gave in. John was going to pay up the money just to shut Wayne up. It appered to me that's all Wayne wanted, was the stupid $50 for giving John so much "rope."

Joe, you know I have the utmost respect for both you and Wayne. No one has BASHED Wayne. A few members have voiced that they disagee with how Wayne handled the situation. They should not be 'SILENCED'?

Wayne, being a mod should not exlude him from criticism. Especially, if he's posting as an 'everyday' member.
