Some Information I have received concerning Pinnacle and the industry

Okay everyone - this is what I have heard and at this time

From what I have been told - Pinnacle went wrong by using "agents" which many of you have heard also led to the downfall of some other books.

According to my sources - the US Gov had Pinnacle by the balls over these agents and Pinnacle was told to just leave the US market to avoid what could of happened if they didn't.

It's so important that we stick with books that will stick the fight out and also that do not mess with these agents in the states.

Take this info for whatever it's worth and we still recommend Bet Jamaica and our other sponsors such as BetCris, & the Greek. Bodog is also solid as well for now.

I can tell you that I do know for a fact, that Bet Jamaica does not and will never use these agents that are causing some problems. During this time please do not use books that you never heard of (no matter how big the bonus) and stay with the reputable books that will continue to fight the fight.

You can expect some shady books to leave after the Super Bowl so please stay away from anyone that does not have references, a good reputation and not in the fight for the long haul.

Agents are individuals based in the States who take wagers like a regular bookie would, but the book backs them and they get a % of the profits. Very stupid on a books part to have agents.

I use a site that I place my wagers and at the end of the week I meet my guy and settle the account. None of this wiring money. I hope u guys find a place b/c I see it getting worse. This is Vegas putting pressure on Gov't to end off-shore gambling why else? Like you said if they were smart they would make a % but no people in charge are too good at telling us what is right and what is wrong.

The above comment by scla99 is exactly what an agent is. They are a local guy who uses an offshore book to handle all their accounts.

The problem is, when you lose, you pay the local guy and when you win, he pays you. This in a sense, is called 'money laundering.' It is illegal because the US Govt has no way of taxing the money. The two of you are exchanging cash illegally.

Most of all books have this system in place to get more wagering and dollars flowing through. If they get caught, they will all go down.....This is what happened to pinny

You have no choice but to cash out. Not sure, but I think your pending wagers will be refunded or graded at a later date. I really believe they will be refunded though.
