Yesterday was a major step forward in the war on terror. It was, however, accomplished through the efforts of highly trained, skilled and determined military professionals on the ground in Iraq. It had nothing whatever to do with either political party and to suggest it did is an insult to the people on the ground who actually did accomplish this.

I saw no politicians risking anything or bleeding yesterday.

Is it the Republicans or Democrats who can tell me the name of the man to whom Zarqawi's command passed yesterday?

Is it the Republicans or Democrats who can tell me where he is or what he's up to?

Is it the Republicans or Democrats who can tell me how so much explosive material continues to be smuggled into Iraq right under our noses?

Is it the Republicans or the Democrats who can tell me how all the automatic anti-personnel weapons and ammunition that are being used against us in Iraq keep coming from?

Is it the Republicans or Democrats who can tell me where Osama Bin Laden is and what he's up to?

Those are great points, and that is why I think yesterday has to be considered a great day for all of us as Americans and the military and for the world(not the Terrorists), and people should not really be that concerned under whose Administration under which it concerned.
I chose to congratulate the Administration myself simply because I had criticized so much before, and in the spirit of fairness, if I am going to make blanket negative statements about this Administration, I feel it fair to at the very least say something positive about it,(even though as you say it was the military which should receive the majority of the kudos).
Obviously and as I stated previously, what occurred yesterday goes and should go way beyond politics.
I as a husband, father and a person with a hope/vision that some day(maybe not in my lifetime) there will be world peace take Al Zarqawi's death death yesterday at least for now as a positive step in the right direction.
I and no one here is dumb enough to believe that Al Qaida is simply going to throw out the white flag; lets all hope/pray that our military is able to continue on its path with as few deaths of innocent people as possible, and our hopes that American soldiers will be able to return to this country as soon as possible to be enjoy their lives and be with their loved ones.
          Amen

Bry, I agree. Ignore musclehead. He comes into the thread trying to throw around his errrr muscle around. He offers NO arguements other than Bush is a moron etc.

At least Savage throws something on the plate to discuss/debate.

Hey Rocket scientist. In two years, what does Bush have to be consoled about? He served two terms. Either way his political career is over.

Offer some intellectual substance in your arguements.

Bry, another point. Muscleboy echos the opinions of others. He offers nothing new. Notice how he never comes into a thread voicing his own opinions.
