Just remember we are all Americans first, and I just have to think that no matter what has been said in the past both on this forum and of course everywhere for that matter both in agreement and disagreement politically speaking pales with the importance of an event like this.
We all have family and/or children and their well being is of the utmost importance;obviously then anything which diminshes the possibility of a devastating terrorist attack can only be construed as great no matter where we are on the political spectrum.
I am sure once the excitement of today diminishes somewhat, then I am sure politics will rule the day once again.
However, at least today I think politics should be put aside, and we all should breathe a sigh of relief and be VERY happy.

yes if you bothered to read any of my posts before commenting i said i didnt think bush did everything right. I'll be the first to admit republicans and our current president has made many errors. However, I don't think it's fair that the president is being blamed for something totally out of his control. Some of the things that Bush has be criticized for is rediculous. Bush is a president. He's not a dictator. He's to operate under certain rules. That's not to say he's stretched the rules. All presidents have broken the rules/laws.

In my lifetime I can't recall any president that faced more tragedy and adversity than Bush. 9/11, a severe economic hit from 911, three wars including the war on terror, two seasons of horrendous hurricanes.
