Guys, I certainly do not mean to lump Homer and Jimmy together. I certainly understand the differences. It jsut seems that some people get called out for certain things and others get a free pas for the same issues. Perhaps Jimmy was a bad example and I am not picking on Homer by any stretch. Hell, he has made me some money and I certainly appreciate it. But when people start posting plays, people who cannot pick games start relying on them (like me) and look forward to their posts. And he most certailnly is entitled to take a day, a week or a month off. Heck, we don't pay him for his work but appreciate him sharing the knowledge. But would be nice to know. Spark, I follow you too and would be disappointed not to see you post. Do you ever take time off?

I sure do Jack ... I did not post 2 days last week because I was not clicking .. I was lucky enough to be breaking even but I was just not feeling it ... You have to respect someone like Homer for not posting when he is running bad because he knows he has a following ...

Homer is just being a smart gambler. He has a totals system that does very well at times. I know that I've made money from it. The system has hit a rough stretch, and its time to give it a break. Homer does us a favor when he posts it, and maybe he's doing us another one when he does not. It's really hard to mention Homer and Jimmy in the same sentence ... they're as different as night and day. One tries to lure others in to make a buck off of them while the other posts in these threads to help all BC members make money. One is trying to take you while the other is trying to help you.

Agreed...Homer owes me nothing. If anything I owe Homer for sharing his insight. It would be nice for him to post a 'going to take a day or two off' or something just so we know, like Frank did when he went to Tampa, as he has developed a following becaus ehe is good at what he does. But like I said, he owes us nothing and when he does post, I certainly appreciate it. Homer, if you are out there, no disrespect meant towards you and sorry if I offended you. If I were you, I would want to punch my lights out for mentioning you and Jimmy in the same sentence. I guess I was having a Senior Moment (at the age of 37)....

I have a question as a long-time lurker and part-time poster. Let me also start by saying I am not bashing or ranting, just a question as I had been playing Homer's plays since NBA started up so I am a fan of his. I saw all the crap with $Jimmy$ last year and Hoops this year. Why do people jump all over Hoops for not posting records, for disappearing, for going service...when Homer doesn't post records and has a bad Sunday (1-4) and disappears. In fact, with Jimmy, you sort of expect it so it doesn't piss me off. But why has no one taken Homer to task? Seems like a double standard.

Jack, Homer usually does post a record.

Also, I often take a few days or even weeks off when the capping is stale. I don't believe in continuing to cap.

Three Jack. Don't worry man. Spark knows why I haven't been posting the last 2 days. I'm trying to work something out with this system at the motion. It has never been slammed the way it got it this weekend. I'm letting it work itself out before I post them anymore. I don't need myself or anyone else banking on it like this weekend and getting slammed.

That is why. I'm going to post my 2 personal plays today. Once I have them done.
