Was Stickman Banned ?

I don't like the way this thing went down either, opportunity for picks or not. The guy came in here posted a bunch of winners and got criticized because he said he had a great day in college the day before. So what? Then he was told he couldn't say that because he didn't post those picks here! Are you kidding with that? I went 6-2 on CBB the other night. Something wrong with saying that? I don't know what it is that gets certain people's shorts to tighten which seems to affect their brains and cause them to attack a person for that, but that's basically what happened. Then the guy finally loses it after being continually harrassed and says a few out of line things, and the alterior motive theory surfaces and he's history. A similar thing happened when Meg came on and took crap because people said she was not a she. She hung in though. Some of you guys need a life; you worry about the most ridiculous things. Maybe she should have sent you a pair of her panties to prove it. Same with stick, he should have been posting here since day one, right? Maybe he wasn't aware of the site, maybe he was, but you can't judge many people in 1 day in person (that's real life, not cyberspace) never mind on the net. There needs to be some thought and common sense (which BTW is not so common) put into posts. Maybe we need a 5 min delay before a post hits the forum so people can rethink some of the nonsense that they are about to expose the rest of us to. Regardless I hope the judgers don't work in real life like that because they are certainly missing out on a lot of valuable input from people they discounted before they had a chance to see their value! Unfortunately I believe they are real life judgmental people.

No I'm not kidding about claiming a record that you haven't posted on this site. That would be like me coming in as a beginning member and stating yesterday I went 13-2 in CFB I'm hot. Then I post plays and go 1-5. You know how many newbies and regulars are going to be mad, because the guy came in bragging about 13-2 the day before with no proof then the guy get's his balls busted the next day.

The guy was simply told to post the record of what he had on this site.

I might add that rainma n also did the same crap about posting that he had a great record, but it wasn't to be found anywhere.

Don't get hung up on the Meg comparison because that was not my main point. The point is the bashing period. There tends to be too much drama here and if there was no reaction to Stick's post other than "good job" or "nice picks", we wouldn't be having this exchange and no one would have been banned and we would have saved reading through endless pages of BS.

As far as vets go I've been here longer than probably 95% of the people here...joined in Dec 2002 same as Wayne.

Regarding your forum history congratulations on your prior experience, but please note that I have been posting on forums since 1998. Started at TS, MJ, **, OffSh, and many others where I still go to and post. Visit many others today also; some regularly, some rarely, some daily.

I also don't understand the worry of the so called "recruiting". Everyone knows there are many other sites/forums out there and I'm sure they visit them regularly. You don't need help finding the other ones, you just need to do a search. The Internet is open to all and easy to navigate, my 9 y/o grandson can do it, and BTW there are new sites popping up everyday, i.e., mv..., eo..., sc..., Buddy's, etc. People will stay where they are comfortable with the group, the layout and the management of the forum. You aren't really stopping anyone from moving on by controlling side discussions between members. If you really believe that you are only kidding yourself. You may delay it but you won't stop it.

Do you think it would be right if you went to one of those other forums and started posting to your buddies saying come on over to BettorsChat. They wouldn't allow it as they would do the same thing that is done here.

Not true since I have spoken to other posters at ** who were given my email by the admins and discussed various things including other sites and we are all still there too.

Shouldn't your posted play be in it's own thread to help people make money. I take it the in-laws approved of you.

I read what happened ... Stickman was provoked , and unnecessarily so. And the person(s) who started it should STFU. I mean it.

If I were to do people a favor ( is 8-0 a big enough favor ? ) and then catch some BS on top of that I'd think to myself - " screw them " and I'd leave. I'm figuring it's not worth sharing with people who are not content with WINNING .

Bottom Line, 2 things :

1) The ones who provoked Stickman are responsible for screwing us out of a chance to see what he's really worth and they should mind their own Goddamn Business in the future ... that is ... if we are ever lucky enough to get another " Stickman "

2) We are too quick to pull the plug on these new guys and that's not smart business. We need to give them lots more breathing room to post more plays. Right now we are choking them to death rather that giving them our FULL encouragement . With Stickman ... most of us played it smartly ... but a few assholes HAD to come in and ruin it for the others. FOR CHRISSAKES ... Does Everyone around here thinks he's Dick Fucking Tracy ... always looking for a criminal ? Let it go ... if someone is up to no good sooner or later he will dig his own grave and we will know it for certain ... then we can act appropriately.

Some of us are not 10 time bettors and you must consider that before you ban someone after 1 card of games. ( 8-0 !!!! Are you guys out of your freaking minds ? )

You posting your play in a thread like this is actually opposite of helping others make money. Even if this thread has more views I doubt everyone is reading every post. And you don't have to post a play with every post you make.

I agree that a looser noose (J/K) should be given to new cappers that come on board. I didn't like him touting a record though that he didn't post on this site as that will only cause problems. I brought it up to him and he said no problem.

However, for him to all of the sudden start mentioning rainma n and leaving the site sounded a lot like the other. He could have easily stuck to his guns and just posted a play/plays. Instead he posts some forum that no ones even heard of that rainma n was schilling too.

I've spent a number of precious minutes trying to get the same point across today with little success. We are not dealing with all business minded people. We are dealing with egos and many who simply can't get past that and quite frankly never will. Many hiding behind their Internet aliases. It's about intimdation, control, fear of competition and not being one of the revered ones. Bully away those deemed as threats and you have no threats. Push those that would seemingly take your place in the pecking order over the edge so they hurt themselves and you win without working at it. Simple. see it attempted everyday, even in business. Business minded people love competition because it brings out the best win or lose. It makes you work harder. Lot of people can't handle it.

That's one of the things that happened here. I asked Spark to send my email to Stick and to ask him to contact me and was refused because Stick would try to recruit me to another site. I wouldn't expect one site to allow posters to post the URL of another site but to stop members from contacting each other is Gestapo like. Maybe I would have talked to him and help the situation.

He comes in here 8-0, now 9-1...and do you seriously think thatr he'el continue at a 90% pace....I think not........

You're right about making money, but it surprises and disappoints me that you rely on some one elses play to make your money.........Since when...

The reasons he was banned is trying to convert other people to another forum, much like me using your own computer to referr people to another Dentist....

Lets understand why he was banned before we take up for, and ask about his whereabouts.....You're smart enough, wise enough, to know thes kind have invaded here before........If he's legit, he'el be back, and you and all the others can ride his picks as much as you want.........

All I ask, is understand the situation regarding his banishment, and continue to pick your own plays, I don't think you need his picks to make money---do you????????
